Can't decide CSR or Pop?

Although I haven't stayed at POP yet, I would definitely go with CSR for $450 more over 12 days. It's a really beautiful resort, nice long slide and large hot tub, covered bus stops, TS available, several quiet pools, free fitness center and sauna, spa services available, queen beds with duvet covers, sliding door on bathroom.

We are going for 12 nights in October and taking advantage of the FD offer. We had planned on staying at Pop (have only ever stayed at POR), as money is tighter this trip. Now with the FD offer it will $450 more to stay CSR. Any opinions as to whether or night this upgrade is worth the cost. I like the idea of queen beds, and CSR seems like it may be more quiet. On the other hand, Pop looks more appealing for our school age children, and we could use the money saved to attend MNSSHP or maybe add the water parks to our tickets. Does anyone have any advice for me? Any suggestions are appreciated :)

When you say $450 more, are you also adding in the additional $ that 12 table service meal tips would cost? Only mention because sometimes we forget that that's in addition to the "free" meal. ;)

Attending MNSSHP would certainly be a treat if you haven't attended before. :thumbsup2

With school aged kids, this may be the perfect opportunity to try out Pop as a new to you resort. As a PP mentioned, it would also be nice to explore AofA only a short walk away. When you're kids are older, it may be less comfortable in a value resort, so Pop might not be an option in the future.

I think all Disney resorts, Value - DVC have their pros/cons.

Tough decision! Good luck. :goodvibes

If its 450 more to stay at CSR, and that includes the upgrade to DP from QSDP, and you are going to be eating TS meals,

I think its a no brainer, CSR will at least be break even with the price of POP.

If you aren't planning on doing Table Service meals at all, then its a little more of a debate.

Although as a PP mentioned, are you planning on spending time at the resort ? If you are doing 12 days, there, unless you have Annual passes I am guessing you are, since its crazy to buy more then 10 day passes (unless you are UK) ...

All In all, I would probably do the CSR, if you do 5 or 6 table service meals, you will almost certainly be saving money switching to CSR>

It depends on how much you would plan on using with that savings. Personally, we can't stay at values...too noisy and busy for us. But I read rave reviews about Pop all the time. CSR was our home resort until we started staying DVC for the last several years and we love everything about CSR and find it very quiet.
