Hi Everyone -- Id like some advice.

Characters are not a priority to me, as we are two adults and we already have Chef Mickeys booked for our "character fun"

So, that being said, based on Food, and I guess atmosphere? (besides character interaction) would you choose...

1. 1900 Park Fare for dinner buffet
or
2. Cape May Cafe for dinner buffet

Im interested in what you have to say!
Thanks!!!

We enjoyed our dinner buffet at Cape May Cafe. There are no characters (but as you said it is not a priority). We tried 1900 Park Fare for the first time this past March and the food was not that good. I will however say that Lady Tremaine and the two stepsisters were in full character. They were quite amusing. However, it did take awhile before Cinderella was able to make it to our table. We were told that it could take one hour for her to go from one end of the restaurant to another. We've decided not to come back because the food was not up to par.

Thank you for your quick reply. Perhaps you can answer this question for me...

Can I take the water launch (boat ride/water taxi, whatever!) FROM Hollywood Studios TO The Beach Club?

I think that is correct but I just wanted to be sure!

Another vote for Cape May! The food is much better than at 1900. You can take a boat from DS to BC. You can also walk.

I enjoyed Cape May last year. It wasn't overly crowded and everything we tried was good. The desserts were the best at a buffet that I've had!

Have not been to 1900 PF for dinner but I can tell you that Cape May is sooooo good. I am not a big seafood girl but I love the fried talapia and the clam chowder is amazing. Great ribs, roasted chicken and so much other awesome stuff. Dont go right when they open as we have found the food to be cold and dry (we watched them set the food out 30 minutes prior to opening time)

I* believe that you can take the boat from the studios to the Beach Club resorts

We have done both several times! :rotfl: And enjoy both! But, I think the food is better at Cape May!:thumbsup2

My choice is Cape May dinner buffet. The food is great and the atmosphere is nice, too ::yes::. We try to do a dinner there every trip :goodvibes.

The food at cape may is WAY better than 1900 park fare, and you dont have to deal with all the little ones running around trying to get their pictures taken with the characters. They have these amazing rolls, and GREAT seafood....and you can take the boat from MGM over to the beach club hotel, but just make sure you leave about 30 minutes, because you will stop at the swan/dolphin beforehand and the boat needs to go slow in those areas. Just make sure you make an ADR for cape may as it gets very busy at prime times.

As mentioned, you can take the boat from HS to BC. However, it is not direct (if that makes any difference). It has a stop at swan/dolphin and maybe (sorry I'm not sure about this one) a stop at BW too. We haven't taken the boat in a long time. We usually just take the path. It's not a short walk, but it's a nice relaxing quiet walk.

I would go with 1900 Park Fare. The wicked stepsisters are supposed to be hilarious!

Thanks for all of your input!!
I have an ADR for August 26th at 6:00 pm!
Im looking forward to it, and seeing the Beach Club Resort. I've never been there...
Now Im only hoping we can make it back in time to DHS for Fantasmic! that night!
