Can't customize magic bands?

There's another family who are friends of ours making the trip down to disney at the same time as us at Christmas. We each got MYW packages with tickets and free dining. We're staying at CSR but they are staying at all star sports. Where on my disney experience page I have the option to customize magic bands, they do not have that option on the very same page just on their account. Even after searching through the site and finding a link that said "customize my magic band" after clicking on it, it says to link a reservation but the reservation is of course already linked because the reservation was made on their disney account. Anybody else have this issue or know what might be going on?

You both need to allow each other to plan and share in order to be able to access each other's info. In the account settings, open the friend and check off


Add to Family List: This friend often travels with me.

This friend can add activities to My Plans and can also: View all my activities.

Share PhotoPass Photos: This friend can view and purchase my PhotoPass photos.

When they are on the customize magic band page, did they click the button to verify their shipping address? It won't let you customize until you do this.

I am also having that same problem. There is nothing showing on MDE to order magic bands for my December trip. All of my old bands are there. Looking forward to seeing if there is an answer that will help me also.

How long ago were the hotel reservations booked? It can take a few hours for the resort reservations to be linked to MDE.

If it's been more than a day, they should call Disney.

It has been a couple of weeks..wondering if entire trip balance needs to be paid first.

No; we always book room-only with a deposit so payment isn't the issue.

Call because customization has been glitching since mid-April and IT will set up your customization function.
