Hi there! Just booked POP Century for a mid-November family trip with free DDP. :cheer2: (First time staying at POP!) We'll be arriving late on Friday 11/9, so we probably won't be checking in until around 9pm. Will that be a problem at all?

Nope.

The bonus to checking in that late is your room will be ready on arrival!

There are nights I've checked in after midnight. No issues.

do you think there is any issue with requests if checking in late. We will be arriving around the same time but are afraid of being stuck with the reject rooms that others didnt want..

We arrived at 11:30 pm last year and 10:30 pm last month. Delayed flights both times.

Phew... That's good news! We'll be traveling with 2 little ones so the sooner we get into our room, the better. :) Thank you so much!

Nope. We've checked in close to midnight before, twice, and have had no issues!

In all seriousness, there are no 'reject rooms' at WDW. Maybe one or two within DVC but otherwise the rooms are more than acceptable.

I would recommend not tagging your checked bags with the yellow DME tags, if using DME. They deliver the tagged bags up to 3 hrs after resort checkin. And if your flight is delayed, they stop getting tagged bags at MCO at 10pm!!
If you do choose to tag your bags, be sure to pack anything you, and the kiddos, will need for the night. Then, tell the front desk to hold your bags until the morning. Stop off at Luggage Assistence and tell them the same thing.
Then, when you get to your room, hang out the 'privacy please' hanger. When you wake up, your message light should be flashing, with a message telling you that your bags have arrived and to call down to have them delivered.

my family will be at pop the same time, just look for the people
thats having a MAGICAL time; ............wait a second..........wont that be
everybody? if we do run into each other, i'll buy ya a piece of
tie dye cheesecake! :jumping1:

As others have said, it won't be a problem. We have checked in late at night many times without any trouble ;).

We have never had an issue with requests and checking in late. On our Poly stay we didn't check in until 12:30-1:00 a.m. and 2 out of our 3 requests were met, with the 3rd being met if we wanted to change rooms the next day :).

Rooms are assigned days in advance. I've checked in as late as 3:30 a.m. (car trouble).

LATE CHECK-IN ISSUES / PROCEDURES:

1) Checking-in late, regardless of time is not an issue.
2) Even if checking-in at 5:55am - - - the Front Desk is open 24/7.
3) You have already paid for the room, and it is yours.
. . . if room-only ressie, you paid for at least one night in the deposit
. . . if a package, you paid the full vacation 45-days in advance
4) Up until 1:00am, and after 4:00am, check-in is normal, as if it was 5:00pm
5) From 1:00am through 4:00pm. slightly different
. . . the CM's will run the check-in paperwork without you (officially check you in)
. . . this is done between midnight and 1:00am
. . . all your forms, parking passes and keys will be pre-made
. . . the ressie computers are down 2:00am-3:30am for processing
. . . there is no computer access during this processing time
. . . however, they do not know your credit card, so no charging privileges are on the keys
. . . if you want to charge to the KTTW, you come back and get new keys in the morning

6) Positives about late check-in
. . . room is always ready
. . . no lines at the Front Desk
. . . bell service is usually readily available
7) Negatives about late check-in
. . . you might not get your room request
. . . someone checking-in earlier could have asked for your room
. . . in most cases, the Front Desk will switch rooms for them

Just wanted to verify that your room requests are on your reservation already. If you want to go through a "no, not that one; no not that one either" kind of scenario you may not get what you want. But if you make your requests in advance you have a pretty good chance of getting what you want, as long as it's not too specific.
