Can't book at Real Contemporary... Bah!

Still don't get it... Not that I plan on staying at the Contemporary or Bay Lake Tower anytime soon... but I sure wish DVCers could book the main building (at the old points). To a geek, Bay Lake Tower is not the same as the main building. We want to open the door to the room and see the monorail below! And sometimes feel the rumble as it goes through the building! I'm willing to cough up the points (I have in the past) so what gives??? Bah!

It's been that way since DVC first started "adding on" to existing resorts. I wouldn't think that you'd want to spend double or triple the nightly points to stay in a conventional room instead of a DVC villa which shares the same resort amenities. So for most people it's a moot point.

You could always rent out your points and book a cash reservation at CR.

That's what I was going to say. Take the points it was going to cost you, rent half of them out at $10+ per point. That should cover your stay (or most of) and donate those remaining points to someone running short on points this year. I don't know....someone like.....oh......me!
