Am going to Universal for Spring Break and I have been obsessing and stressing about everything! Well I just looked at the crowd calendar again and my days (next Mon-Wed) have been downgraded to SLOW??? I am excited!! Could that possibly be right? What do you guys think? I can't wait to go! It is our first trip!

We are her now for our spring break. Yesterday (Tuesday) was very slow!! :) We just walked on most rides without an express pass and our longest wait for anything was Despicable Me and that was about 30 minutes.

Alot of people postponed their trips till Harry Potter expansion is done.Same thing happend when the 1st phase opened at IOA

We were there last Thursday through Saturday and were prepared for serious crowds with it being Spring Break season. We usually travel during slower periods. We had nothing to compare it to, but we didn't think it felt all that crowded. It may have been the express passes making it feel less crowded since we weren't stuck in lines, but honestly it didn't feel crowded when walking around either. Our weather may have helped too. Two days the forecast called for afternoon thunderstorms that ended up never coming and the third day there was an afternoon storm and tornado warnings. Maybe that kept locals away. We've never been so I don't have anything to compare it to, but we were certainly relieved.

This makes me feel better about our early May trip. We will have express passes 2 of the 3 days, and I was worried about the 3rd day being painfully crowded. We don't deal well with long lines!

Where is this crowd control calendar located please.

any links

There are afew.. Touringplans.com is one and a PAID site so we cant post those.Undercover tourist also has one.The one I like best we can not post on the forums. But if you google it should come up

The easiest way though is to go to Universalorlando.com
Look at the prices for the express passes. The cheaper the pass, the lower the crowds( pass prices go up with the projected crowds levels)

This makes me fear our late July trip :faint: ...... oh well :rotfl::lmao:

Ooh we are there early May too....so glad to hear it should be slow :-) It will be our first time (& I would imagine our last too) so we want to fit in as much as we can!!

:thumbsup2 we were shocked to find much lower AP rates for May trip this year (less than an AP rate @ a Disney value!) vs last year's same time frame.

Have never put much stock in crowd control calendars :duck:for WDW or U (since we typically stay onsite, pretty much a non-issue). Many swear by them as helpful planning tools, never hurts to check it out.

FYI- it definitely was not slow today. So the crowd calendar was not accurate. Oh well!

I've been checking the looooong wait times posted on the ride wait time app, and my goodness, I think perhaps we'll stay on site 2 nights instead of just 1 next month so we can get 3 days of express passes rather than going the 3rd day without!

We were there last week and though the crowd calendars showed it was supposed to be slow, we didn't find that to be the case. Many wait times of over 60 minutes.

We were there on Saturday. Forbidden Journey was 75 minutes at 9am so we used single rider and walked right on. I noticed it did decrease to around 60 minutes later that morning. We concentrated mainly on water rides and such we hadn't been able to do on our visit last winter; the weather was gorgeous! I told DD we'll definitely be staying onsite if we go this summer, I'm sure it'll be packed.
