Can't believe the prices

Disney isn’t too bad. Prices are high everywhere. Here is a Hampton inn on the beach in July. Not exactly a luxury hotel. Little choice of food. No free transportation. After taxes over $1000/night.

That is insane. I rent 3br/3ba beach condos from owners and pay about $300-375 a night all in for an OF million dollar highrise condo in a gated luxury property. Includes beach service umbrella and chairs too ............

Our last trip to Disney was in 2017 for our 25th Anniversary. We stayed at CBR and had a fantastic time with an unbelievable discount.

When we booked we were not informed of the on-going renovations at the time (new construction on-going, no food court, etc.). To compensate they offered us $75/day credit, so we gladly took it. THEN, in addition to that, they offered an additional $75/night credit for our inconvenience! $150/day credit !! We ended up pretty much staying for FREE and only had to pay for our meals.

FAST FORWARD 5 years....no Magical Express, Disney Genie (not sure what that is), reduced capacities at resorts, (unsure about current dining options or if fast passes exist anymore)..... and we sadly will likely not be back.

We're newlt retired and the kids are all grown and living across the country........and we have no grandchildren......we get better value for our money going on a cruise or renting a place for 2-3 months for the winter months.
