On a happier note, a friend heard about the loss of her kitty and showed up this evening with a 3 month old kitten. It is now happily sitting on her bed and has already displaced the dog. No name yet. So while she is upset about the loss of Dream, she has a new furbaby to love.

As someone who recently lost 2 cats in a house fire (while we were on our honeymoon), I am truly very sorry for your loss.

Oh how terrible. Now, I'm worried. I'm taking my cat in soon for shots.

Our cat got adenosarcoma from his shots. He ended up with a tumor on the back of his neck that just kept growing and couldn't be removed. We played "hospice" to this cat for a year and then had to have him euthanized.

So, the vaccines aren't without risk.

Harley gets another round of shots next Friday. I think it's rabies... now I'm scared.
