... I just bought a veil that cost more than my dress - ugh!

Now granted, I was super lucky and got my dress for ~$120, but the idea of the veil being more than the dress is just kinda weirding me out right now!

On a happy note, my ivory Cinderella purse from Disney Floral came today, and I LOVE it! It's a perfect shade for my dress, and it is soooo cute - I think it's my favorite thing about my whole wedding "outfit"!

Well I bought a Paloma Blanca dress and a matching veil and the veil was almost as much as the dress so I feel for you! I wish my dress had been $120 though lol. What a steal!

Veil's are insanely expensive! But, you got such a steal on your dress you deserve to splurge on the veil.

I wasn't even going to wear a veil, but I found a really pretty comb/tiny tiara-like thingy that I wanted to wear, and it just looked kinda blah without the veil.

Dress & accessory shopping has been different than I thought it would be; I guess I imagined buying the dress, shoes, etc ... all at the same time from the same place so that I could see how it all matched-up. Instead I've been getting bits & pieces from all over the place, and thankful it seems to be going together okay (at least I hope that's true!)

I know what you mean, I am dying to see everything together and I still am not sure about my veil because I don't have a comb/tiara and I am not sure how to put it in my hair.

Hopefully I will figure it out at my hair trial????? LOL

That sounds great. I have also had a terrible time accessorie shopping. I bought the first dress that I tried on, so I guess I expected everything to come just as easy. The shoes have been my most difficult part!! Good luck to you!

I totally feel you! After I got my dress (which I did NOT get a good deal on...LUCKY GIRL!) I started shopping around for my veil, and never in a million years dreamed ONE piece of tule hooked to a hair comb could be so expensive!!!!! And I felt LUCKY when I decided on a simple veil because my dress is so ornate...and I still payed well over $200! It's STUPID!

A little off topic but sort of related... I got so fed up with the veil prices and the fact I couldn't find anything I liked that I could justify 200$'s for that I made my own. Or I've started making my own I should say . The tulle and comb part was defiantly not that difficult and I was able to get a nice soft and sparkly tulle which I liked the texture of much more then what I was seeing in the stores. The total I spent may be about 30$'s on that part. Now the fun part is trying to bead it. I've got one strand done and tried to attach it. All I can say is I'm starting to see why they cost so much...! But just a hint if you just want something simple, and you're at all good with DIY projects making your own is the way to go!
