Hi there,
I'm a newbie to the Photography Board.

I love looking at everyone's fantastic pictures. I am SO Jealous!!

I'm looking for some advice on how to get some great low light and fireworks shots of the Castle and Illuminations and Fantasmic on our next trip.

Best place to stand, sit, etc. What lens or setting should I be using?

Any help would be really appreciated!!

What lens do you have now?
good fireworks shots require a tripod, low light requires a large aperture lens, e.g. the Canon 50mm 1.8 or Sigma 30mm 1.4

Sorry, I should have mentioned that we have a Canon EOS 40D.

actually your 40D was mentioned in the title:confused3
But to recommend which one of your lens to use requires knowledge of lens you already own
(which was not provided)

A tripod eliminates much of the need for the fast lens. Of course there are creative reasons that create exceptions. So the tripod is the most important thing.
