Canon A80 accessories

I purchased the Canon A80 as a gift for the niece. What extras/accessories do I need to get? Are all brands of compact flash cards the same? What size do I need? What kind of battery charger? What case works best?

I am not entirely sure what type of battery this takes, I would check the manual and see if it uses a special battery of it can take rechargable batteries. If it takes a special kind, just go to wherever you bought it and get the charger there. I have used several different brands of Compact Flash cards on my Canon and haven't noticed much of a difference at all, so I don't think that matters. I would recommend getting 128s because they seem to be very reasonably prices... 256s aren't bad either. As for the case, I find that to be very dependent upon the user so maybe you ought to let her find which she likes best. Some like extra pockets and others don't. Good luck
