Canon 250D 58mm Close-up Lens

Has anyone used one of these? I can't find much info on these babies.

I have a 500D, very similar except it is made for longer focal length lenses. The close-up lens is a doublet, two pieces of glass, for better optical properties than a single piece. It is reasonably sharp in the center and not too bad at the edges.

This is probably the class act in close-up lenses, the next step up would be a real macro lens or extension tubes.
