Cannon SD780 or SD1100 which to buy?

I have been tossing up these two cameras for months now even before the SD1100 came on the market. The only difference I can find is the SD870 (sorry typo above not 780) has a wide angle lens and .8 longer zoom with a $40-$50 price difference. Can anyone familiar with these camera's help me make my decision.
