Canlt upgrade to deluxe dining!

I am going to WDW in September with the free dining. I called today to see if I could upgrade to the deluxe dining and just pay the difference. The CM told me no that if I did that I would have to pay the full price and it would not be no free dining. Did anyone else get the answer?

I was told in order to upgrade it had to be prior to the promo end date which I believe was June 24th.

I was told I could upgrade this morning. For $32.99 for adults and $9.99 for children.

Not sure if you would have all your t.s. meals planned, but it seems like if you need any further adr's it might be pretty tough to get.

I was able to upgrade last week, but I hadn't payed off my package yet. I had read here that it had to be done before the 45 day mark so I stopped procrastinating and made the call.

We're going in a couple of weeks for free dining and was able to upgrade after we paid off our package (w/in 45 days of reservation). When dh initially called the cm said it couldn't be done. Dh asked cm to verify and to be connected to guest services. The cm put dh and hold for a few minutes and came back on and added it. We paid $32/adult/night and $10/child/night. We did have to pay it immediately as we were in the 45 day window.

Call back and ask again make sure you have your extra ADRs for the DxDP

Call back and talk to someone else. You can upgrade outside of 72 hours from arrival. If they say no, tell them to go to guest services and they will do it

Yes, i second that. I asked my TA and she said 72 hours, she said they technically could charge me $60 to make a change to an existing ressie but in the case of an upgrade, they never do.

i have made multiple changes both before and after the "deadline" and did add DxDDP to my free dining for an upcharge... i would call back and request to speak to guest services...

I don't know but I talked to about 8 different people, I can't figure out why we all get different answers, I can switch resorts but not upgrade my dining..
