canjet question

We are flying out in 21 days (!) with canjet. Has anyone flown with them recently? I heard they only allow you to take one carry on and it can only weigh 10 pounds? Is this correct and how strick are they on it? Also, I am sure I know the answer to this but are you allowed to take your laptop on canjet? I am sure you are but i wanted to double check with you folks.

I'm interested in knowing this too! We leave May 6 on Canjet! I don't know a thing about the flight.. food? I think they have media players for rent..?

I know they do NOT have individual tv's like on westjet. My TA told me that you can "share a dvd" for $10.00 but I am not sure if there is one dvd player and you buy the earphones or if there is one dvd player in each row or what. I know you can use your ipods on the plane so my kids will do that probably.

4. Luggage

All checked baggage may be subject to search by security screeners, therefore locked luggage may be required to be un-locked. Regulations require name identification on the outside of each checked bag. CanJet also recommends placing name identification on the inside of your luggage. Name labels are available at CanJet's customer service counters.

Please ensure that all valuables and medication are removed from your checked luggage and placed in your carry-on bag or kept on your person. CanJet does not accept responsibility for items of this nature.

FREE LUGGAGE ALLOWANCE: For each passenger, CanJet allows two (2)-checked pieces. Each of the two allowable pieces of checked luggage must not exceed 23 kg (50 lb) in weight or 158 cm (62 inches) in overall dimensions (height + width + depth). For travel to the United States, passengers' checked luggage must not exceed 20 kg (44 lbs) in weight. For International flights, each passenger may check up to two (2) pieces of luggage free of charge. Both pieces must not exceed 20KG (44lbs) in combined weight or 158cm (62") in dimensions (height + width + depth). Please see luggage allowances for sporting equipment below.

CARRY-ON LUGGAGE: CanJet will permit each passenger to carry onboard, (1) standard item of carry-on luggage not exceeding 21 cm x 40 cm x 54 cm (8" x 16" x 21") in size and (1) personal item not exceeding 16 cm x 33 cm x 43 cm (6" x 13" x 17"). Maximum weight for each individual item shall not exceed 10kg (22 pounds).

Items to be counted include: Any kind of bag or suitcase, briefcases, laptop computers (bags), diaper bags, camera cases that may contain items such as spare lenses and film in addition to the camera, cartons, boxes and other similar items.
Items not to be counted include: Cameras, coats, diplomatic or consular bags, purses 10" x 12" x 8" or less, receptacles containing human remains, strollers, child restraint systems, containers carrying life-sustaining items, live vital organs, crutches, canes, walkers and other similar items.
