Cane Pole Fishing

I don't know if any of the resorts let you just walk up to one of the bodies of water and start fishing.
I do know that you can set up fishing excursions through WDW Recreation.
I did go "cane pole fishing" at the Port Orleans Riverside. They have a designated fishing hole. My DD was 10 at the time and she enjoyed it. I don't believe it was to costly. Of course, you release the fish after you catch it.

Good luck.

You can cane pole fish at the Coronado Springs resort, at Port Orleans Riverside, and at Downtown Disney at Cap'N Jack's Marina on their lakes. Cane pole fishing includes the bait, pole and hook with a cost of $4 for 1/2 hour. The hours are usually 7 am-3 pm, but vary seasonally. I would ask about the hours before I went fishing.

I have fished at Riverside (back when it was Dixie) I brought my own gear with me and fisded early a couple of mornings. Very peaceful didn't catch a thing but it was peaceful.:earsboy:
