Last year (I think) someone posted about mixing peanuts with candy corn & eating one of each because it reminded them of a particular candy bar. Right now I'm having a "senior moment" and can't remember which candy bar, though.

Can anyone please tell me the name of the candy bar????

Thanks!

Thanks bananiem! But isn't there a "brand" name also - like Baby Ruth or ???

Payday - that's it! Thanks so much, babylisa. That's been driving me nuts all day! ;)

If you guys like peanuts and candy corn then you'll love these two recipes I got from a dear friend!

Salted Nut Rolls

1 ½ cup flour
2/3 cup brown sugar

½ cup butter
2 egg yolks

Mix all together and press into 9x13 pan. Bake 12-15 minutes at 350 degrees. Top with 3 cups mini marshmallows. Bake 2-3 minutes more.

Heat until melted at low temperature:

2/3 cup corn syrup
¼ cup butter
2 teaspoons vanilla
12 ounce package peanut butter chips

Stir in 2 cups Rice Krispies and 2 cups dry, roasted and salted peanuts. Pour over marshmallow mixture. Let set and cut into bars.

Candy and Peanut Chews

1/2 cup margarine or butter, softened
1 egg
3 cups mini marshmallows

TOPPING
1/2-cup light corn syrup
1/4-cup sugar
1/4-cup brown sugar
1/2-cup creamy peanut butter
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups Rice Krispies
2 cups salted peanuts
1-cup candy corn

Mix and press base into a 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 for 10-14 minutes or until light brown around edges

Remove from oven, immediately sprinkle w/ marshmallows. Return to oven bake 1-2 minutes more or until marshmallow begin to puff. Cool while preparing topping.

In large saucepan combine corn syrup, sugar and brown sugar, blend well. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until it comes to a boil. Remove from heat, stir in peanut butter and vanilla until well blended. Stir in cereal peanuts and candy corn. Spoon warm topping over marshmallows, spread to cover Refrigerate 30 minutes or until firm, cut into bars.

These are great in the Fall, especially for Halloween.

Enjoy,
Candi
