This trip is for 4 girlfriends (30 somethings) and we can't decide between these 2 hotels. A couple of us have stayed at HOJO ( and really like it/ pool is great!) But the Candy Cane looks decent too.
Any feed back would help!
Are they about the same distance to walk?

Thanks!:flower3:

The HoJo is an awesome family hotel. It's always my #1 pick when we visit. However, the CCI is a bit more sophisticated and since it offers a free breakfast and dedicated shuttle, it might be more in line for a group of 4 adult women. The only downside to the CCI for me would be that the room size is smaller than the HoJo, so with 4 in one standard room, it's going to be pretty tight.

The walk is about the same. Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with either! :)

I agree with DangerMouse. I have stayed at both. You certainly can't go wrong with either.

My preference is for HOJO only because it has interior hallways. I don't like my
door being open to the outside. I feel safer in a
"hotel type" vs. a " motel type"
But I usually travel with children vs. Adults :)

I agree with DangerMouse & disneyfaninaz. You can't go wrong either way. We loved both hotels & would stay at both again in a heartbeat. To us it felt like the walk to the gates was approx the same but our room at the CCI was way at the back (perfect location!).

We have always stayed at CC in the past mostly because the shuttle option and the free (and pretty good) breakfast...That said, we are trying Hojo this July because of the bigger pool and water play area...(and entertainment rates)

Our first pick for Harbor hotels is HoJo, if they don't have rooms or if the Ent Rate isn't available we try CCI. Both are nice, CCI is a bit smaller but they have the shuttle and breakfast that HoJo doesn't. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice everyone!

There is only about a $20 difference in the rates- but I still can't decide!:confused3
It would be nice to try the CCI for something new- but I do love HOJO!
OH... but the CCI has a late (2pm) check-out option. That might come in handy on our last day since we're not buying park tickets. We could just lounge by the pool.
Is the CCI pool a nice "lounge-by-the-pool" pool??

Hmmmmm???

I am currently staying at HoJo's. We were here in April and at the Candy Cane Inn in January. We like both places. My hubby LOVES the Candy Cane (so do I) but the ET rate at the HoJo has decided it for us the last two trips. If the HoJo had a shuttle, it would be a no brainer due to the ET rates. We love the Candy Cane Inns' breakfast too but I figure for the monetary savings that you get from the ET rate, you can buy alot of breakfast! Maybe even afford to eat in the park ;)! This stay we are in Bldg 2 and it is quite nice. The upgraded bedding is FABULOUS! Much better than the regular stuff. So, if your budget is a little tighter, go for HoJo's, if you have more to spend, I'd go for Candy Cane because it feels a little more upscale. The grounds are BEAUTIFUL! and the pool area is WAY better for adults. For kids, HoJo wins hands down. But the kids area has nowhere for adults to be other than the hot tub and you can only take so much of that. The second pool is freezing cold. I can't make myself get in it so the pool area, while it is lovely to look at, is not very useful to me. The Candy Cane's pool is very warm (not hot) and quite lovely as is the hot tub.
Wow, I am rambling. I must go...DL calls to me....I think there is a Mickey Bar calling my name.
