I think i'm leaning toward the Candy Cane (sorry DangerMouse ;)).

But thought i'd ask since I've never stayed at either hotel.

2 Day trip. We'll be at DLR on Sunday 4/20 (& spending Sunday night) & Monday 4/21. Neither had "standard rooms" or entertainment rates available. Both gave me either an AAA or AP rate for a deluxe room.

HOJO - $143 + tax
Candy Cane - $123 + tax

We'll hop in the pool for an hour, but not a big deal. A lite breakfast is nice....again not a big deal, but if one is better than the other...then good to know..

I'm leaning towards Candy Cane is because:

- mid day both days we'll be going back to the hotel....the shuttle would be empty & might be nice to have. (I suspect we'd walk early in the morning & late in the evening though).
- $20 bucks less.

FWIW, all the DLR hotels were $250+ that Sunday evening. (& Monday is no longer a MM day), so I'm staying on Harbor.

Any other ideas? Are there any "deals" on Harbor Blvd that I'm not aware of? &...

Why would both Hojo & Candy Cane be out of standard rooms on a Sunday night in April? Is something going on?

Thanks. :thumbsup2

Is the Hojo for a Disney view or standard view room? I would lean towards the Candy Cane Inn though. I like the way their rooms look and how they are decorated.

It's the Disney view....but it's just my 9 y/o son & me, so we'll be at the park that one night till we drop & the view would be a 30 second ..."cool nice view" feature for us. ;)

I'm looking forward to staying at either (especially since both are the "deluxe rooms"....thanks to all for your opinions.

mine as well go with the candy cane then since you won't have time to enjoy the view that much. plus you get free breakfast at the candy cane. so you save money for the room plus more $ because breakfast is included.

We'll be at the Candy Cane starting 4/20 as well. The only thing I have seen that is going on is the American Showcase National Cheer and Dance Competition 4/18-4/20. I'm not really sure how big that is though. The other thing is that it's also the last week for the 2 days free park hopper bonus ticket.

Hey, if I had to make the choice based on those options, I'd choose the CCI. I think the main pool at the HoJo may be starting rennovations by then as well. Have a great time, Hound!

Cheerleaders....!!!! :scared1: (insert the shrieking voilins soundtrack from Hitchcock's "Psyco" shower scene).

Man.....I'll be FPing like crazy to avoid long lines of overly enthusiastic "2 bits....4 bits...." all day. :rolleyes1
:lmao:

DangerMouse, I'll try Hojo one of these days....promise.

(I was thinking about taking an extended family trip one of these days to DL (with some seniors) & wanted to check out CCI anyway. (I always liked the looks of it & the dedicated shuttle for those who can't walk as well.)

kcebo, maybe we'll see you at PP at 9:04am on Monday. :)

.

I have never stayed ay the CCI but that is a good deal including breakfast, but I put in the disboard discount code for your dates and a disney view room in BLDG 1 came up for 118+tax :)
