We need opinions & feedback for each of these inns to reach a final decision RE: which one to reserve for the 1st week of Oct. All your help is greatly appreciated!!!

Actually, we are trying to decide where to stay in April and would also love to hear feedback on these places.

I am interested in comparing cost as well. Which would be less expensive?

Thanks!
DJ

I have always been extremely satisfied with Candy Cane.

I don't see many "deals" though. Rooms are $77 - 134 without AAA discounts.

The staff is over the top friendly and helpful.

They have a dedicated reliable bus service (two stops CC and DL only). The rare times that the bus or shuttle has been packed, the driver has come right back to pick up. It is definitly close enough to walk.

The downside is that the hotels on the other side of the street have the quick cheap eats (IHOP, Mom's)

Candy Cane has one of the better "free" continental breakfasts.

If I chose one of the hotels directly in front of the DLR entrance (closest walk) it would be BW Park Place INN and Minisuites.

I to would vote for Candy Cane Inn. The grounds and rooms are nice as well as the continental breakfast, the only negative are the exterior corridors.

I stayed at the Candy Cane Inn December of '02 and found it to be very nice. I highly recommend it.

We stayed at the Carousel in Apr 2002 and thought it was great. The continental breakie was fine and the best part was how close it was to Disneyland. It was right across the street. Very convenient!!! We never used the shuttles because we were there with 4 people in wheelchairs. I'd recommend it and we may use it for our next trip to DL in June!!!

I have only stayed at the Carousel but I really enjoyed my stay there. The pool on the rooftop was never crowded (very small). I liked that from their breakfast room you could see the monorail and part of Disneyland. Their idea of a continental breakfast was sweet rolls and toast I think, I remember I wasn't impressed.

I was impressed with the room. Much bigger than I expected and very clean. When I returned to DL a second time I decided to try the Best Western Park Place and had a miserable experience. I checked out after one night and went back to the Carousel. A very short walk and I liked eating at both Mom's and Denny's.

I have heard great reviews of Candy Cane though so good luck with your choice!

::yes:: ::yes:: Ned... it has been my experience that the Candy Cane Inn for the price, has the best accomodations. DCA visitor for years. Lived in Ventura, CA and it was a 4 times a year trip for us. We are now on the East Coast and have visited WDW 10/03 and will again 3/04. the Candy Cane Inn was A+ in 6/03. Had My Sis and her three kidlets, as well as myself and my husband. the grounds at the CCI were meticulous, the rooms spotless with great amenities, i.e. refrigerator, nive toiletries, plush and plentiful towels. The breakfast int he a.m around the pool was great. The staff helpful, friendly and made you feel like you were a long time friend. I highly recommend the CC Inn. you wont be dissapointed.
