I recently had a solo trip to Disneyland and stayed Feb. 2 - 4. I booked a regular room at the Candy Cane Inn.
I stayed in the standard room. I had asked for a room near the lobby and got a room facing Harbor. It wasn't too noisy and I had no issues sleeping. I do like to sleep in a dark room and felt the shutters were insufficient to block out light. Not sure if this would be a deal breaker for me.
Otherwise my stay was great. The breakfast was great and included ham/cheese croissants, boiled eggs, fruit, etc. No hot items but I didn't really miss them. I took a tray back to my room.
The regular room was small and I wouldn't recommend it for more than a maximum of three people.
The regular room I was in is set up differently from the Premium room that is pictured on the website. No sink outside the bathroom.
I used the trolley a lot and found it reliable and never really crowded. It had plenty of room to take a folded stroller if necessary.
If you have any further questions, I'd be happy to answer.
