Candy Cane Inn or BW Park Place Inn

I have read wonderful reviews of the Candy Cane Inn and almost made reservations, but realized it does not have a restraunt other than breakfast. I have a 2 - year old and 7 year old and know that we are planning on being flexible with times for the kids. We are not planning on renting a car. How far is the CCI from the restraunts or is it better to stay in the middle of it? Thanks for any input.

We will be staying at the Candy Cane Inn for the first time this weekend, so I can't help you from personal experience. I did make a copy of this map:

which shows different restaurant locations in the area. I bet there are more than are listed on this map, but it looks helpful.

Either one would be good. The Best Western is closer to the McDonalds, Millies, Mimi's Denny's and Ihop. Candy Cane is Closer to The Jolly Roger Cafe, Hansa House, Subway and a pizza place and is about a 4 minute walk to the other restaurants mentioned above.
