Candy Cane Inn here we come!

Finally made our decision. We're going with the Candy Cane Inn for our July trip. Thanks everyone for answering my previous threads with all the helpful info.

I'm so excited... the lodging is booked, now to plan everything else.

You'll love the Candy Cane, good choice. It's where we always stayed when my daughter was little, other than DLH, which is great but we found we didn't have enough time to enjoy the pools and all that the DHL offers, so the extra expense wasn't worth it for us.
It's nice having the option of the shuttle at the end of the day too. I just spoke with a reservation agent at CCI and she said most of the rooms just got new carpet and new paint. You may want to ask for one of those rooms.

Oh, thanks for the tip! I will definitely ask for one of the renovated rooms. DS has asthma and allergies, so the new carpet will be helpful.

After reading literally hundreds of reviews this is what sold us on the CCI:

-Dedicated shuttle (for tired feet and safety at the end of the night)
-decent continental breakfast that will save us time and money
-smaller sized motel, cozier feel
-pleasant landscaped walk on the Disney side in the a.m.
-reports of cleanliness

I feel really great about my choice. Hopefully, this is just the first of many trips to DL and we may try other options down the road for variety.

We've been to DL 6 times... all day trips. This time around will be so different, we can slow down the pace and enjoy ourselves!
