Candy around the World

My absolute favorite candy is fortunately available in the Germany pavillion (and I can only buy it around Christmas or at Disney, so I stocked up this last trip and bought over $40 worth!) Mozart Kugel! Almond and pistachio Marzipan dipped in milk chocolate then again in dark chocolate. I gave one to our secretary when she was having a bad week, and she said it even smelled sinful!

Uk pavilion for *genuine* Cadbury's goodies - none of that Hershey made stuff ;) :flower3:

German pavilion for Haribo. I remember last time though, a guy was dragging his wife through the German pavilion on a mission to get Kinder Eggs, telling her about how they have a toy inside them. He was probably disappointed when he found out it would be illegal to sell them in the US :worried:

If they have it, try the Aero bars in the Canadian Pavillion. Speaking as a proud Canuk, Aero rules!!!:goodvibes

That should be in the UK pavilion as well because that's where it was invented ;) - my bf likes mint choc stuff, so I'm all too familiar with mint chocolate Aero bars!

I don't really buy sweets from most of WS because we get most of the European stuff here anyway. I'm definitely getting something from Japan on this trip though!

Anything from the UK pavilion, Curly Wurly's caramel covered in Cadbury's chocolate, Fry's turkish Delight (chocolate covered), Cadbury's Flake, the most awesome thin flakes of chocolate packed together into a bar.

Hmmmm Cadbury's........:worship:

Sorry, I'm a Brit living in Canada, yes I can buy most of it here but at high prices. English chocolate is the best :cool1:

This is coming from an Italian girl....

In Italy buy some Baci! Excellent chocolate!! That is if you like nuts or don't have any nut allergies. Then it's not good. If you have no problems, buy it!! So good!

From one Italian Girl to another these things r killers. You can't eat one :lmao:

What? Seriously? For how long? When I was in college, I ordered (and enjoyed...) a ton of those things! I feel so out of the loop on this one...

When we lived in Germany my husband and son fell in love with the Milka chocolate bars. They come in all kinds of flavors and are available at the Germany pavillion. Also, my best friend is English, and they have some really good chocolate. She made a basket for us one Christmas. Inside was a chocolate orange. If they have that at the U.K. pavillion that would be a good choice. She is a Cadbury girl. I just wish they sold Yorkie chocolate bars there at Epcot. I've never seen them and even asked the folks that work there. They have a funny slogan, "Not for girls!"

I don't think I could eat a "yorkie bar" It sounds too much like my aunt's dog :rotfl2:

Hands down, Cadbury Buttons in the UK Pavillion. I always buy a few bags for me and my friends whenever I'm there! I'm generally not a chocolate person but I'm crazy for Cadbury Buttons. Much better than the Hershey-made Cadbury stuff you can find in the US! I also enjoy the Flake bar.

I read it on here a while back - something about it being illegal (in the US) to sell food stuffs containing non-edible items.

I just saw them last week at the produce stand where I buy my veggies. They are widely available at Asian markets in the SF Bay Area.

They sell them at the German deli here, but you have to ask for them because they are "behind the counter." They charge $2 a piece, so you are paying a premium for them being illegal.

Hey, counterfeit purses are widely available all over the big cities, and they are illegal, too!

OMG...that sounds wonderful. I'll put this on my list for September...when I'll be grabbing some Cadbury chocolate from the UK too:thumbsup2

.

what does the flake bar taste like? it is a smooth chocolate?

It is a bar of milk chocolate, very creamy & yummy. :)

I love reading on here how much you guys love our chocolate...I tend not to pay attention to what they sell in the UK pavilion but if they have it then I would recommend Cadburys Wispa, Double Decker, Flake, Crunchie & for Nestle products Aero (all types), Malteasers, Rolo's, Crunch Bar. :thumbsup2

I LOVE kinder eggs. I used to get them in Italy when I was a child on summer vacations, then they finally started selling them in Canada. We could get them on our meal plans at university. The smallest meal plan had way too many points on it to finish by the end of the year so we used to buy boxes of kinder eggs. It got to the point where I was just opening them and putting the toys together and bringing home the chocolate in bags to give to my parents :rotfl:

This is what I got in the Japan pavilion a few years ago. It was mostly because of the funny package. The candy inside was just ok. Doesn't it look like one of the penguins is constipated?
