Candles at reception

this is specifcally what I want:

I love pillar candles, does anyone know Disney's policy on these? I'd be so disappointed if I couldn't do it.

the one restriction they have with candles is they have to be contained. so if you have pillar candles in glass containers yes otherwise theyre not allowed. even my votive candles had to be contained at our reception this march. but dont worry it still looks nice & adds ambiance.

Thank you for the reply! I just talked with Disney and they said candles need to be covered :guilty: I am sure I can work something out though :) If anyone has any ideas to create the idea in the photo, it would be greatly appreciated :)

You can always try those battery candles...with the little light bulb...from far away they kind of look the same...I've seen them real cheap at the target down in FL ....also party city rents out similar items (not sure of the cost)...dont know how many you need...but if you have your heart set on it, it would work

I saw "lamp style" votive holders at the Dollar Tree just yesterday (here in Buffalo). Just clear glass "stem" so they're about 6-8 inches tall, then the votive sits in a "cup" at the top, and there is a clear glass "shade" over the top. I hope that explains it well enough to you. I thought about buying several for centerpieces myself! I am just leary to transport so much glass....

Also, those battery operated ones can be bought in quantity online. You'd have to search it, but I found them for my church (we use them in the choir). I can't remember where I got them. However, they are like tapers -- tall and thin, not wide like pillars. I do agree that it could give you a nice effect (from a distance) without the danger of open flames. Definitely consider it. Oh, and the ones we bought have a removable brass stand so they can stand all by themselves!!! Tighten the bulb to turn them on, loosen it to turn them off.

Good luck!

As TwoJo21 said you can have them in glass containers which would still look great!

thanks for all the replies everyone! you guys are awesome. I will keep you updated on what I decide :) :)

(my wedding isnt until next year but I've been collecting ideas forever like a normal crazy female! lol)
