Hey! Does anyone know when Disney might post the guest narrators for the Candlelight Processional at Epcot? I'd like to go ahead and make reservations, but I wanted to see who the guest stars were going to be first!!!
Thanks for any info. you might have!!!!!:wave:

Probably not until late August at the earliest. We're also looking forward to the list. We're going anyway but it would be nice to know who's narrating first and second.

For at least the past several years, the guest/celebrity narrators haven't been announced until the October-November time frame.

Look for the dinner packages to go on sale in mid-late August.

Thanks guys! We'll go ahead and make reservations and hope for the best! Can't decide whether to go the week of December 6 or December 13? Any suggestions? Thanks again!::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

Last year I went the week that starts 12/6 and if I had a choice, I'd pick that week again. I had the same dilema as you-wanted to wait until narrators were announced before I made dinner ressies. However, I REALLY wanted to eat at Rose and Crown, so I finally broke down and made dinner ressies there in September, and just hoped I'd like the guest speaker, who wasn't announced for at least a month after that. But it's a good thing I made my ressies first-very limited times available.

I would opt for the earlier week also. I was there last year from the 12-17 and thought it was a little chilly. Of course, it could be just as chilly a week earlier I guess.

:D WDSearcher posted these narrators for 2004 on another thread and I have read it is very reliable information:

"These are not in any specific order as yet, but the following narrators have been confirmed for this year’s Candlelight Ceremony: Marlee Matlin, Rita Moreno, Kirk Franklin, Joshua Morrow, Hal Holbrook, Steven Curtis Chapman, Edward James Olmos, and Levar Burton. Gary Sinise is still tentative for Christmas week".

:D

These tend to change a LOT as things happen (performers get other gigs etc.)

I have always just booked when I wanted to go and never had a bad narrator.

Never had a guest narrator we didn't enjoy.::yes:: :wave2:

Thanks everyone for all the tips! You don't have to make dinner reservations to view the Candlelight Processional do you? If so, where do you recommend?
Thanks!!!!princess:

katybugmom...no, you don't have to book a dinner package. But, if you don't, then you have a longer wait to get in. Those with packages are allowed in first and tend to get better seating. But, even then they had to wait in a longish line. We did the package last year and will do it again this year. I have to say that there were plenty of people standing outside the theater, on the street, watching the show. But, I figure that we have to eat anyway and I do try to book one good sit-down meal per day. So the CP package is it for that day!!!

I booked the CP package the past 3 years when they first came out and have been happy with the narrators we got. You always have the option to change it up to 48 hours prior if you want to see another narrator during your stay. We usually see it with the package early in our stay and then go back towards the end of our stay and do standby with a different narrator.
