Saw on another board the 15th is the official date to book.

So does that mean I don't have to spend the next week calling and being told...Not Yet.

Not sure. Until I hear it officially from them, I'll probably call. After all, they did start selling the MNSSHP and MVMCP tickets three days early!

I called this morning....the story is now sounding the same....CP goes on sale 8/15. ALL dining will be PRIOR to the show.

Oh well, I guess there will be no tree lighting ceremony for me.

Same here. 8/15.
She didn't have the specific dining times that were posted on here, but I'm sure they are correct.

I just hope everyone is up to speed on this come 8/15. I know when I called when the new MGM breakfast started I called to check on a different day, the guy didn't even check and I knew it was available. He said it wasn't available and there was no such breakfast 3 days after it started :( I told him it did and I already had one booked. I wasn't impressed that's for sure.

We are basing this on last year's info for the tree lighting. It probably will be at the same time, but maybe they will change that too. :goodvibes

I think I will pass on this for this year. I've seen it once, I can try for a seat in the regular line, and if not, just sit somewhere nearby and listen. We did this on Christmas Day last year (after seeing it on Christmas Eve) and it was just as moving.

We decided last night to do this as well. We're going to be in Epcot on 11/29 and figured we'd skip the package this year. It's gotten too expensive ($220 including tip for four adults) for just something that was a nice convenience. The lines weren't that bad a couple of years ago so we'll probably just eat dinner wherever we want and then just hit the show after. Our seats were just as good waiting in line for 20 minutes or doing the CP package last year. I probably would still do it if we were going during a busy time as the lines would be worse. Good luck to everyone! :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

This is my concern as well. I am hoping for a CM who knows what is going on, or one that is willing to LOOK for the info.

Over the last week or so, I've been getting some GREAT CM's who will look for info, will tell you when they've had communication about CP, etc. Then there are others who FLAT OUT tell you THERE IS NO INFO AT ALL...Period, end of story.

For anyone that has booked this before...when we call and ask for the CP...do we ask for the SHOW first or for the DINING time first?

Do I say:
- I would like the 8:15pm show, and dinner at Le Cellier for 5 people and THEY will give me the times available?
- I would like the 8:15pm show, and dinner at Le Cellier for 5 people at specific time?
- I would like to eat dinner at Le Cellier for 5 people, what time are available and which show goes with that?

I'm debating between 2 different dates. Right now we have ADRs for Le Cellier @ 4:30 on 12/14 and was just going to wait in the regular line *if* we didn't get a CP pkg. Now I'm not sure about going to the night with Maureen McGovern, & wondering if we should try to get a 12/15 pkg with Kirk Cameron. Has either one been a CP speaker before?

 I'm so excited Kirk Cameron is the narrator on 12/15!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now to change the ADRs to a dining package...

Is it necessary to book a dinner package to see CP? If not what are your chances of getting in if you don't do the dinner package?

You will get different answers from everyone, but I have booked the dinner package for the 6:30pm show the past two years in a row on Dec. 3rd. The people that did not have the CP pass did not get a seat.

I'm really debating about this now. I had been planning to go on the 14th, but I think I'd rather see either Kirk Cameron or Steven Curtis Chapman. Still curious who will be there on the 8th -- that's when we'll be arriving, and I think the Candlelight Processional would be a lovely way to start our vacation! :goodvibes
