Booked CP for Teppan Edo for 5 pm show. DH, DS2, DS8, and DD6 plus myself. I was wondering how other children liked the CP show. I am worried that it is more towards adults. The only time we could find to go is our last night in Disney. Should we keep the ressie?

In all the posts I've read on CP, the reviews have been on restaurant and how great the show is. But, I've never heard how any children enjoyed the show. Has anyone taken their children to CP?

We took a younger one to the show once and he had a good time from what we could tell. He would sit and stare at the stage and was fascinated with the music. I would try for the earlier shows and not sit at the very front where it can get loud though.

We took DS last Dec at 18 months and by the time the first song was sung he was done. Thankfully my patient DH took him to the tree in front of AA and he was entertained by the train for the rest of the show.

jhpatrick1 -We also booked Teppan Edo for the CPP. I am not sure how our kids (2 and 4) will do during the show but I guess I can always leave with them if they get too restless and let the rest of my family watch the show! I keep hearing how wonderful the show is and hopefully my kids will enjoy the music enough to let us all enjoy it!

We took our kids in 2005 when they were 5, 7 and 9. They all enjoyed it as the music was familiar to them and we had John Stamos as a narrator. (They were big Full House fans back then.) I did have to leave early with the 5 year old to use the bathroom - kids!;)

We did a family trip for Christmas a couple of years ago with my parents, brother, and our 3 boys who were 8, 5, and 3 at the time. We ate at the Garden Grill and then went to stand in line for the CP (the one for people who bought the package). Anyway, it was at the end of a long day and the 3 year old was done before we even got in. My husband volunteered to take him back to the room and my dad and brother quickly joined him. So that left me, mom, and the 8 and 5 year old. The 5 year old was asleep on the bench by the end of the 3rd song, the 8 year old watched the whole show very quietly - I definitely don't think he appreciated it though. He's 11 now, I wonder if he even remembers it - he remembers every trip on Tower of Terror though. ;) With young kids, the music may hold their attention but I'd bring along some distractors (snacks, crayons, etc.) just in case.

My mom and I enjoyed it immensely, it was a highlight for us. Gary Sinise was fantastic and the music was beautiful. I'd love to see it again someday.

We saw it in early Dec 2006. My DGD who was almost 7 fell asleep after being at EPCOT since before 9; we had the later show with dinner at Le C . Maybe because we had the last seating in the package (the only one we could get) we had at least a 25 minute wait. The food and service were wonderful. We had to really hustle from the rest. to the show.

One thing that bothered me was there were lots of empty seats in the front of the theatre while dining packages were about halfway back. A few minutes before it started they let walk ins take the better front seats. The show is wonderful ...lots of goose bump moments.:goodvibes :worship:

Enjoy!

We have taken our kids in 2003 (5, 4 & 2) and 2006 (8, 7, 5 & 2) and the 2 year olds were not thrilled (both fell asleep) but the older kids enjoyed most of it-because it is familiar to them. I think it may depend on if your children are
a)Familiar with the Christmas story/songs
b)Comfortable sitting for stage performances that don't include characters or kid friendly, attention grabbing effects.

I'm not sure how to be PC about this, but it could be compared to a Church service, so if they don't have trouble sitting through Church, they should be OK. Wether or not they actually enjoy it...I can remember how I felt sitting through Church as a kid.
DH and I absolutely love it though!
