We finally made the decision to spend Christmas at Disney World. It will be me, DW and DS (age 6). We would like to attend the Candlelight Processional one evening while we are there. Has anyone tried this with a 6 year old (or so) boy? Would it be able to keep his attention? Just don't want him getting antsy and ruining it for others. We may actually try this on either Christmas Eve or Christmas night. Should be beautiful.

We did it for the first time last Christmas Eve, which BTW, was the perfect night to do it, I thought. ;) Our DSs were just 7 and almost 4. They did fine at it. It wasnt the highlight of the trip for them, but they sat through it with no problem and actually looked a little interested at times.

I did it with a 2 and 5 year old and they did fine but I do take my kids to Church every Sunday, which, in a way, is kind of similar. If your kid can sit through an hour of Church, then they can definitely sit through CP as it's even more entertaining with the music and narration.

It is much like a specail church service. If having a Christian ephasis to your christmas is important to you I would encourage you to attend this service. Ds was a little older than your son and like another poster said, while it was not as much fun as space mountain, he did enjoy it. It is outside and there is lots to look at. He should be fine.
I would consider the package to ensure a seat.

We did it when our kids were 2, 4, 6, and 8 and they all did fine. It is gorgeous and there are a lot of performers for them to watch. The narrator was Brian Dennehy and of course they had no idea who he was. My older 2 read the list of performers and were mad that Lavor Burton was not there on our night, they knew him from Reading Rainbow!!! LOL! We hope to go again in a year or 2, they are quite a bit older now. Lacee
