I have not done Candlelight Processional since 2007. It changed in 2008, therefore I am not familiar with how it works now.

Quick questions:

  • Does the fixed price result in a fixed menu?
  • I am guessing that Tables in Wonderland cannot be used with this as it is a fixed price for a package?

Don't know about the menu.

But Tables in Wonderland is not accepted.

No - it does not involve a fixed menu - unless you do a buffet restaurant where you just go to the buffet. You can order an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert off the regular menu. It also includes your drink (coffee, tea, etc. - no alcohol).

Perfect. That was what I (sort of) gathered from WDW Info and AllEars for 2010, but wanted experience instead of unofficial printed material.

I would love to do it, but we have 2 really cheap people in our party  so I will have to see.

The first year we did the candlelight processional, we didn't do a dinner package - we ended up standing for the entire show. After that, we book the package. We like the late show - the candlelight shows up so much more than the early show - and there is no way we are going to wait in line for hours just to try to get a seat in the theater, so the dinner package is really great for us. The reservation must be guaranteed by a credit card (they don't charge your card - it is just a guarantee) and there is a cancellation date (can't remember how many days before) after which they will charge your credit card if you cancel or are a no-show (at least how they explained it to me)

You're paying @$20 extra to get a seat for a show that's otherwise free...for a family of 5, that's $100 to watch some folks sing. No thanks! I'm with the 'cheap' people in your party.

We always get the package. Depending on who the narrarator is and what show you go to you might not even get in with the stand by line.

If costs are a factor, maybe you could just book a Tier 1 restraunt.

From what we ordered at Chefs de France, it wasn't that much of a difference in price- you get your choice of appetizer, entree and dessert as well as drink (non-alcholic). It was only about $10 more for the package than to do the same dinner without the package - of course the price difference depends on what you order off the menu. I figure that $10 for guaranteed seating is worth it - especially if it is close to Christmas or there is a popular narrator. We can walk leisurely down to the theater and not have to get in line hours earlier. As I posted before, the first year we did the candlelight processional, we had to stand for the entire show just outside the theater seating as it was full and not everybody in the standby line got in.

I'm not entirely sure, but I thought in 2008 at Tutto Italia there was a special menu for the CP package. It's possible I am remember it wrong - you still got to choose what you wanted, but I'm thinking it was a smaller menu than the full menu. But that was also 3 years ago, so even if that's right, I don't know what it's like now.
