I just wanted to let my fellow DVC members know that my DW was able to book the Candlelight Processional dinner package this morning. I know from this board in particular that a lot of DVC members will be at WDW for the Christmas/New Year's Holiday. You should call as early as possible if you want to get the dinner package, especially on some of the harder to book nights.

To keep this as "DVC" as possible, does anyone know if you can make this reservation through MS or do you have to call the main disney number like I did?

Good luck.

HBC

I am on the phone with Disney right now. Do you have a website where the schedule, pricing and the tiers of restaurants? Thanks

I booked today with Group dining for the 13 of us and had to pay everything upfront, with 48 hour cancellation. Can only pick up the tickets at the front entrance of Epcot within 7 days of the package

I was told that the Japanese restaurant (for tier 3) is the most popular one, and the next one is Chef de France.

Also, I was told that the 6:45 performance is the most popular one because it is the one in the middle.

However, with the 6:45 performance, they will only seat you AFTER the show.

Out of all the trips we are making this year to WDW, the Xmas one is the one that I am really looking forward to.

Have fun everyone:D

If you are staying at a WDW resort you should be able to pick up your tickets at Guest Services at your resort.
We have done both the show before and after dinner and just to share our experiences, we find it much nicer to have dinner after the show. The restaurants get very crowded during the CP bookings and very often you will have to wait for a table which makes things pretty hectic because after eating even with tickets you still stand in a pretty lengthly line to get into the CP show. We find dinner after the show much more relaxing and enjoyable and when we are done dinner it is time for Illuminations so we just walk out to WS and enjoy another great show!

In answer to the "DVC" portion of this thread, since a credit card is needed to make the reservation, MS probably cannot make the reservation for us.

Further discussion about CP and the dinner package will have to be continued on the TPAS Board and/or Restaurants Board here on the DIS.

A little off-topic (DVC) information about this year's CP Package:

Tier 1
Adults - $28.99+tax / Child (3-11) - $10.99+tax
The Garden Grill
Biergarten
Akershus

Tier 2
Adults - $34.99 +tax / Child (3-11) - $10.99+tax
San Angel Inn
Marrakesh
Nine Dragons
Rose & Crown

Tier 3
Adults - $41.99+tax / Child (3-11) - $10.99+tax
Chefs de France
Alfredo's
Le Cellier
Teppanyaki
Coral Reef

To my knowledge, this year's narrators have not yet been announced.

Enjoy!

I called wdw-dine, I didn't even think of MS. I booked a 6:45 show with an 8:00 dinner at LeCellier.

To relate this to DVC - we did the same times last year. Since we were returning to Boardwalk Villas after dinner, we had them box up the leftovers and the dessert. They also gave us extra breadsticks. It works great since we have a fridge in the room and a microwave to heat it back up the next day for lunch. We got a chocolate dessert, it was so rich we were taking little bites for the rest of the week.

I just got off the phone with reservations. I was able to get reservations for Christmas Eve for 5 of us. We will be dining in France at 5:15 and seeing the 8:15 show. Thanks for posting about it being available.

Doc,

This isn't a big deal, but would you happen to know what the tax rate is in Florida? What a silly question! Of course, you know. You know everything. :smooth: I guess a better question is . . . will you tell me?

Thanks!

Pat

102 days and counting . . . again!

Sales tax is 6.5%.

Resort tax is 11.5%, except for All Star and Pop Century Resorts, which are 12% (they are in different county).

I think we might like to try this. Can I get some help, though?
What time should I make ressies for if we want to see the CP first, then have dinner AND be able to see IllumiNations afterwards all in that order.
Any ideas?
Thanks so much!
Oh, how long is the CP? (I have little kids.)
The package includes a guaranteed seat? The teirs reflect how good your seat is?

Further questions/discussion of Candlelight Processional and the dinner package should be directed to the Restaurants Board or Theme Parks Board here at the DIS.

Thanks!
