I apologize if this has already been asked and answered several times -- but I couldn't find an answer online while searching.
So here's the deal.
Myself, DW, DD4, DD2 and GPs will be in epcot on one of the nights this is available. My parents (GPs) will likely enjoy the show, but with the two DDs, I do not anticipate them being able to sit through the whole show. As such, I do not want to pay for the candlelight dinner package for myself, DW, and DDs since there is a 90% we'd have to leave halfway through it. But I would like to have the GPs get the package so they have the guaranteed seating.
Also -- we'd all like to sit together at dinner.
So my question is, what's the best way to achieve my goal of sitting together at dinner, but only have two people do the dinner package?
In other words, all six of us would like to eat dinner together, while also allowing only part of our dinner party to be getting the candlelight dinner package.
I know we could just do two separate reservations of 4 and 2 -- but then we run the risk of them not being able to have a table big enough for us.
Can I just book the dinner package for all 6, and then when we sit down, just tell the server that only 2 of us will be doing the package?
UPDATE: I just called member services and they confirmed that you book the package for everyone, and then when you get to the table, you just let your server know that not everyone will be doing the package and they will update it accordingly.
