We are going the week after Thanksgiving( Nov 29-Dec 4). Plan to go to CP, is it worth it to get the package ? Do you really get in sooner & get a better spot? Do you stand during the whole thing or are there seats?
Thanks !

You do get to sit down and we got the package when we ate at Restaurant Marrakesh. Our seats were good and were in a reserved area for guests who bought the CP package. Andy Garcia was our narrator. :)

We did the package and had great seats for CP. In 2012 we combined it with a lunch but not sure which restaurant ... maybe Biergarten. You will be there early in the season whereas we were there between Christmas and New Years which was really quite crowded ... there was a REALLY long standby line for the performance a good hour and a half ahead of time. If you plan to have a TS meal anyway it would probably be worth giving it a try

Of the two Dinner Packages at WDW, Fantasmic! at DHS and Candlelight Processional (CP) at Epcot,
the one that can be truly an advantage is the CP.

I would get the package especially if you have a more popular narrator. There are seats if you get the package. If you don't and you want to attend, it may be standing room only....for the more popular narrators people sometimes get in line for many hours prior to the show.

Thanks everyone! I think we will go with the middle performance . I can't remember the time , maybe 5 something ? Has anyone been to this middle time , is it dark yet?

The show you attend is based on the time of the meal you reserve.

Candlelight Processional Package Dining Times
  • 5:00pm show: Lunch meals will be from 1:45-2:45pm
  • 6:45pm show: Dinner meals will be from 3:30-4:30pm
  • 8:15pm show: Dinner meals will be from 5:00-6:00pm

  • The above is for 2014.

The middle performance is actually at 6:45, and it is dark. The 5:00 performance is the first one, and it is not quite dark when they start, but is dark before they are finished.
