Hi,
I'm a little late to the party. We just booked a trip with free dining arriving Dec. 19. We're celebrating my birthday at Disney!!
I've never been at Christmastime :santa:, so I didn't even know what the Candlelight Processional was until I began doing a bit of research. Thank goodness for Disboards!
My question is about Rest. Marrakesh at lunch (its one of the only available dinner package adrs left for our Epcot day. (DEc. 21) My birthday!!:yay:
Is it worth using 2 TS credits for or should I just pay OOP for this meal? Thx in advance!

We pay out of pocket for 2 ts meals, it makes more sense for us. Do you have enough emails planned tho to make up the credit you're missing? Is there a super cheap sit down meal you have scheduled? When I break down prices for my reservation we decided to pay oop for cp meals! And happy birthday!!!

Congratulations on being able to snag free dining this close, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY! :flower3: Is it all 4 of you? How many days will you be there? Will you have opportunity to use those credits another day or time?
I do not recommend paying out of pocket for Candlelight Processional for 4 people with free dining. I just pulled it up, and there are 7 restaurants with dinner availability for 12/21 Candlelight packages for 4 or for 2. You are paying a lot more with the package, but it does get you a seat, vs. standing in line 2 hours and maybe still not getting in. There are still 8 restaurant choices for lunch Candlelight package, and that would cost less, if you decide to pay OOP. But then you see the earliest show. If cost is a factor, Biergarten lunch is the cheapest option. If you do decide to use 2 TS credits, pick the most expensive one with a menu you like----may as well. It is easy to pay OOP for another meal, if needed.

I want to make sure you understand---to get the Candlelight seating, you have to book and pay for the Candlelight dining package. Just booking at Marrakesh doesn't get you seating, it has to be a Candlelight Dinner booking. And there are still 7 other options open.

Thank you for the birthday wishes!
It will be all 4 of us for the reservation. I think I've decided to pay oop for a Marrakesh lunch package. We've been to most of the other options and we love to try new things.
Now I just need to choose another ADR for our last day. I'm thinking a character breakfast may be a fun way to end the trip.
Thanks for all of your help!

We had the same scenario...Marrakesh was the only choice as we really wanted the late show package. I was dying for Via Napoli, but little chance of that, as we only confirmed our WDW visit last month and I imagine that restaurant is among the most popular. It'll be our first time trying Marakesh too...crossing my fingers and hoping for the best! A lotta $$$ to spend if the meal disappoints.

I'm hoping we all love it! We will both have to come back and post about our experience!

Love, love, LOVE the Marrakesh! I think you will enjoy it. Most of the other dining experiences you can come pretty close to in almost any major city in the US. I have yet to find a comparable Moroccan restaurant experience anywhere. :thumbsup2
