What kind of line can we expect? I do not expect the narrator to be in high demand, but I am not sure what Thanksgiving Day will do to the crowd/wait.

Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Eve seemed to be 2 of the hardest dates for people on the boards to get CP dining reservations for, so I'd expect the lines to be very long if you aren't getting a package. And no guarantee of actually getting into the show without it.

Would the day after Thanksgiving be better?

I have been to Epcot on this weekend. It was busy from Thanksgiving Day, when we arrived to Sunday. I cannot remember Sunday evening, but I can assure you that it was shoulder to shoulder in the WS.

If you really want a seat for this event you need to book a package. And then you should plan on getting in line at least 30 minutes early.

Based on my experience for getting a CP package for Thanksgiving....I would agree with everyone else - long lines.

This is the first year for CP on Thanksgiving. Previously started the following night.

We were the the Friday after Thanksgiving this year. We got in stand by line well before show time like 45 minutes of the second show and the chains went up immediately behind us for standby. We sat on the brick wall lining the arena-as all the seating was taken. Not many people behind us made it in for a seat at all.

First show, folks were in line earlier.

I know, so based on crowds during that weekend in prior years I imagine the CP will be sold out and SB will bealmost non exixtant.

From personal experience doing standby for about 8 years now. Each show takes about 200 from the standby queue. They are only able to sit at the top 3-4 rows of the theater and the planters on either side. If you want to be in the theater i recommend lining up as early as possible, for very popular narrator and/or popular nights I have gotten in line up to 4 hours before the first show. I'm a local so I just know I'll spend my entire day in line, others have reported that getting in line up to 2 hours before still worked for them
