Candlelight processional - need to be dark?

I’m wondering if candlelight processional is better in the dark or if it doesn’t matter... I’m looking at candlelight processional dining packages, the day we go it’s suppose to be 5:20 sunset. Should we get a package then for the 6:45 show or is the 5 oclock show still ok even though it’s not dark...

We have been to all of the showings and it really just depends more on when you want to eat. Personally, I prefer the 5 or 6:45 showing. The 8:15 can make it a bit hard to find a spot for Illuminations. I honestly don't think the lighting outside makes much of a difference as we always sit in the rows closest to the stage so we are covered and can't really see the outside lighting much.

No, it doesn't need to be dark. Some people prefer it. It's very nice at dusk too.

It's beautiful whatever time you go, wherever you sit! (as long as the people around you are enjoying the show, too! - we once sat next to people who talked the entire time - luckily we had seen the earlier show for the full effect and just decided to see it again!)

The only thing that loses a little of its effect for the 5:15 show - for me, anyway - is when the massed choir processes in with their electric candles. The candles don't show up much at dusk. But otherwise there's little difference. It will get dark while the show is going on.

We've done all show times and it doesn't matter to us.

We prefer the 5pm show. Then you don't have to wait in line while HEARING the show befpre yours. And you can enjoy the rest of the evening in WS.
