Does anyone know when the rest of the Candlelight Processional Narrators will be announced? I was trying to see how it was done in prior years. I have two dates in my trip that are potential Epcot days and was wondering if I would know the remaining narrators to finalize my park days before my fastpass date (10/3).

Every year, there can be changes and new additions all he way up to (in some cases) the week of the actual event.

I'm sure you'll know more before your October dates, but as @Robo said narrators can change. I think last year the "finalized list" came out around the 14th of October. It seems that almost all narrators are 2-3 days of narrating. So if your potential EPCOT days are close enough together during the week, it may not matter.

There are some people we would consider skipping based on personal preference, and some are must not miss so I understand your concern. I hope you have a great time!

Here's the current listing from wdwinfo:
2016 Candlelight Processional Narrators

  • 11/25 - 11/27: Steven Curtis Chapman
  • 11/28 - 12/01: Neil Patrick Harris
  • 12/02 - 12/03: Whoopi Goldberg
  • 12/03 - 12/12: TBA
  • 12/13 - 12/15: Meredith Vieira
  • 12/16 - 12/18: TBA
  • 12/19 - 12/21: Joe Morton
  • 12/22 - 12/27: TBA
  • 12/28 - 12/30: Cal Ripken, Jr. - New!

I went the first week of December last year. I saw Whoppi Goldberg on my arrival night (Saturday) but the rest of the dates were not filled until the last month and I didn't even know who they were. On Thursday night, I just happened to be walking by the theater and saw there was only a short line. It was for Ana Gasteyer. I went in and sat down and then googled on my phone to find out who she was!

Anyone seen any more names added to the Narrators list for CP at Epcot? We will be there 12/11 and have not seen who the Narrator will be yet.

Merged you to the current CP thread and narrators are listed above.

:wizard: We're going on 12/9 and are wondering who the narrator will be.....figuring if they don't know by now it won't be anyone too well known....

That's not necessarily been the case in other years.

Besides, it is WAY too early to think that they can't find a good narrator.
There are many celebrities who simply don't know their Nov. or Dec. commitments at this point.

We are going that night as well... I hope they post who it will be soon.

The other thing is unless you can reschedule your trip on the basis on a narrator, be very flexible. Previous years have had narrators cancel and substitutions come in. IIRC, those with the dining package (that gave secured seating w their meal) were still held to the cancellation penalty if they didn't call within the 24 hrs.

To be honest, while there are some that have been spectacular I don't think I've heard of a subpar one.

You must not have seen Jon Secada :))

Noooo. That bad?:guilty:
I've heard some *interesting* bands for F&W and F&G... :rockband:

Yes !! His accent was so thick --- we have seen so many CP readers with accents (Isabella Rosalini for one) and they never missed a beat , but he had a rough time with the passages. But--- we still loved it !!

Saw America Ferrera last year. Will be in Epcot on December 17. Can't wait for the narrator to be announced.

definitely not necessarily the case. they almost always get someone excellent for christmas eve and day and those are not announced yet.

I had to do the same thing! I liked her performance though. SHe was very good, IMO.

We saw Joe Morton last year. Had no idea who he was, but he was absolutely wonderful. We are not going this year, but I would not mind seeing him again. Thank you, Mr Morton for a such wonderful memory!

Well, there was Phil Donahue...he actually left out entire passages...that was interesting. Monique Coleman had on an outfit that was hugely distracting...way too much Monique showing...and her recitation wasn't all that and a bag of chips.

Once again, I get the infamous TBA!!! I've actually had some pretty good narrators that way though.

We can either go on 12/3 or 12/5. I know 12/3 is Whoopi Goldberg but I want to know who is going to be on 12/5 before I decide.
