Me, Me, Me :dance3:

Looks like we have a chance at Patti LaBelle this year.

We saw Barney / Doogie Houser :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 and Denise Franz (why is there no thumbs down smilie?)

And I see no Gary Sinese - will that make Kevin happy/

So now the decision - where to go for dinner -
last trip we went to the Beirgarten (everyone enjoyed that) and Living Seas (which we all liked) - however, I noticed that those that ordered a steak at the living seas enjoyed it better than the salmon eaters. And the wave desert was yummy.

The family wants to go back to the living seas but I'd like to do something different and since I make the ADR's I get to choose (I'm not above lying - oh, couldn't get that restaurant - especially when they ask about Mexico).

I'm going to try for Le Ceillier but we are a party of nine and will need to split up. My other thought is rose and crown.

Got to find out when they open up the packages.

Brian Stokes Mitchell has a great voice. I hope I can get to see him. Virginia Madsen and Monique Coleman don't really thrill me. I will have to see who is filling the TBA slot for the last couple of nights of my trip.

Well, we are bummed because we really enjoy Gary Sinise at the CP and he's not there for Christmas this year. :( We figure we're going with Edward James Olmos now. ::yes::

I'm thinking of doing a little rearranging to get John O'Hurley. That would be our arrival day. Otherwise.....maybe Patti LaBelle. Although it does say "tentative" next to her.... All I really know at this point is that I do NOT want to see Virginia Madison. She bores me (ok- we really do need a thumbs down smilie).

Sounds like we are going to be there the same time - we arrive on Sunday 11/30 and am booked through Friday but some of my group will be leaving early - those that have to go to school.

We are arriving Sunday too:thumbsup2 Thankfully I have some time to decide what I want to do. I do know that we are going to the Biergarten. My kids love that place!! And I do want to go to the 5:00 show. So I just have to decide who to see.............

I just about cried when I saw that we're seeing Brian Stokes Mitchell! I would listen to that man sing (or speak) the phone book!!!! And he's easy on the eyes, as well....

DH is disappointed we're not seeing Admiral Adama....whoops...I mean Edward James Olmos. So say we all. What a great show.

We saw Neil Patrick Harris last year. I never watched Doogie so he'll always be Barney to me. We'll miss him but glad to be seeing someone new.

Did I mention I'm excited about Brian Stokes Mitchell????????

He's a Broadway guy....he's won some Tony's and been a few high profile shows that past 10 years or so. The most recent was a concert of South Pacific opposite Reba McEntire that he got good reviews for that they aired on PBS. And he's REALLY handsome. :-) He's got a real rich baritone and will be a wonderful narrator. I can't WAIT!!!!! I hope they don't change around the schedules!!!!!!

We just did LC last week with a party of 10 and were seated together.

I'm actually surprised to see Steven Curtis Chapman narrating Christmas Eve. It's going to be hard on him this year since he just lost his little five-year old. I know the family and I know they are devastated. :worried:
Kevin, if you are still going on Christmas Eve, you'll get to see him.

I'm not all that excited :( J. Peterman? Really? I feel like I might laugh too hard :rotfl2: But Brian Stokes Mitchell sounds like a good one, but I had never heard of him until now :confused3

We went last year and saw Chita Riveria. I wasn't expecting much, but she was very good. We orginally scheduled that day because it was supposed to be Barney/Doogie Hauser (Neil Patrick Harris), but he changed his dates after we were all booked.

We had "lunch" at LeCellier for the 5 PM show and it was great. After the show we just wandered around and everyone picked up something for a light dinner before Illuminations. We also ate at Rose & Crown that trip and really enjoyed it. I have never been to the Coral Reef, but would like to try it too.

Unfortunately :( we won't be there this year. We are doing a cruise in August and probably won't be back to WDW until next year.

Back in 2004 we had booked the CP because of the narrator. As luck had it, they changed it on us after we booked and our narrator was now Eartha Kitt. I was really irritated thinking I could care less about seeing catwoman at the CP. But...we went and she was FABULOUS! Honestly I forget who we were supposed to see there initially but we were not disappointed.

We also are sad to not see Gary Sinise there for Chistmas this year, but we're going to give Edward James Olmos a whirl now. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the narrators in the end. The whole CP is so moving that not too many people could spoil it for me.

We saw Monique Coleman last year and she really did a great job. I was surprised since she is so very young.

This year is will be Virginia Madsen. I am not at all familiar with her!

I am calling every morning hoping to hear that they are finally scheduling the CP packages. We want LeCellier for 17 people!:rotfl2: I know silly old me!

But I am going to keep hoping and trying!:thumbsup2

I was working on a fathers day slide show of all our girls dancing with my DH set to his song Cinderella when his little girl was killed. I second guessed using that song and my DH was moved when he heard it, esp since it reminds us to enjoy life and our children. He is such a great artist and has inspired us to adopt and we have learned so much through his foundation Shaohannah’s Hope. I hope we can see him narrate CP because I am sure he will be a inspiration to many!

You could always try Chef de France - Kevin gave it a great review on the 12/25/07 podcast (thanks Brian from VA for the excel spreadsheet!) :thumbsup2 What I can't figure out is why on http://www.wdwinfo.com/holidays/candlelight_processional.htm#narrators the Chef de France restaurant doesn't say "recommended" like Teppan Edo (Japan) and Le Cellier.

I have a choice of Monique Coleman, TBD, or Chita Rivera. I know that I am going to book Chita Rivera, because I think my MIL will like her. I am considering booking the TBD date, just because if it turns out to be someone great like Gary Sinise or Neil Patrick Harris, I want to be prepared to see that!

In past years we have seen Chita Rivera and Eartha Kitt. They were both very good. This year it looks like we will be seeing Chita Rivera again. The Candlelight Processional is a highlight of our December trips and I highly recommend it to anyone who has not attended.

Well, I am not thrilled about our choices (probably because I am just not that familiar with either) Virginia and Monique.
