Candlelight Processional in the Rain - advice?

Hi -

Looks like there is a pretty good chance we'll be watching the Candlelight Processional in the rain. We have a dining package.

Any insight as to how early we should be in line to get a seat under the roof? Could I stand in line and let the kids do something else and the join me closer to when they start to let us in?

Poncho, umbrellas are not permitted. If doing the dining package, you have a really good chance of being under cover. Standby seating most likely will be wet if it rains.

Enjoying my CP lunch at Nine Dragons for the 5:00 PM performance. Plan on being in the dining line early though… with a scooter I brought ponchos aplenty!

Just to clarify, the ponchos are for the line. I’ve always been under the awning with a CP package as long as I got there early enough.

Well, I’m on the dining CP line for the 5:00 performance. The sun is shining and the sky is blue with puffy clouds. Hopefully stays nice the whole night! Next couple of days may be a bit tricky … always best to be prepared.

I was going to suggest bringing a towel to sit on, but likely too late!

I slapped a jacket, hat and three ponchos over me and the scooter. By the time I reached future world it was pouring. People look drenched! I’m safe on the bus now which is mercifully dry lol

I've done Candlelight in the rain before. Those first rows under cover fill quickly. Yes, you could hold the spot for the family but when the line starts moving, it's moving so would need to come quickly ... or bring sweatshirts or other items to save seats for them (people did that on Thursday for the 5pm show). They will ask people to "squeeze in" toward the middle to accommodate the most audience members possible. Some comply and some don't. Brought a heavy-duty garbage bag to sit on and also had a small hand towel in my bag to dry off the bench. Sat through it with a raincoat with a hood on. It's not ideal but it's still lovely.
