Looking at getting the candlelight professional dining package to guarantee our seats and so we don’t have get in line super early, but I have a couple of questions:

1. Is it possible to get the package with a PPO breakfast at garden grill?

2. How early should you arrive before the show to have somewhat decent seats if you have the package? When do they start letting stand by in?

Thanks!

We usually book dinner so, I cannot answer about PPO breakfast. As far as getting in line, it really depends on who the narrator is. WE always make sure we are there 45 minutes early, not matte what, and there is a line in front of us.

Bear in mind that the package does not guarantee you seat. You are gaining access to a preferred line, however if you arrive too late the stand by line is opened and you are out of luck. You get what you get. I am hoping to see Trace Atkins this year, and you can bet I will have dinner over and be in line plenty early if we are there when he is.

Yes, there will be PPO packages available for GG, but have no idea how many are set aside for PPO time frame, so book as soon as packages become available.

I believe stand by is usually let in 15-20 min before the first show at 5:00. I'm not sure how they handle subsequent shows.

Still as Nancy56 said, your choice of seats dwindles the later you get in the package line.

When do the packages usually come out? I am thinking of getting in line for it 30 minutes early, but maybe I will do 45 to be safe. We had the dining seating one year in the past, and we ended up going back to the resort and missing it, because we were tired. This trip it is a definite priority.

30 is more then enough 45 to long

It really depends on who your narrator is. If you have a very popular narrator, you may wish you allowed yourself a little more time to get in line.
So assuming June or July is when narrators are announced too? Who is most popular?

I like this show, and if I have the chance to see Trace Atkins or once again NPH, I will be in line early enough to secure my seat and do so without having the tree in my face. It is not for everyone, and not everyone cares where they sit, as long as they have a seat. I do.

1) Yes - you can get the CP package with a PPO at Garden Grill. I had one last year for NPH with a 5:30 show time. While you should reserve early if that's what you're looking for, I reserved mine just a few weeks out after some patient searching (and swapping out for a dinner CP package at Coral Reef - although I could never secure the Via Napoli package that I really wanted).

2) As for how early to arrive, it depends on what you mean by "somewhat decent" seats. The line for the CP package guests started forming about 90 minutes ahead of the show and was fairly long even at an hour beforehand. That said - it's a big space and you could still get "decent seats" of your choice (around 1/3 to 1/2 of the way back) even if you showed up around 30-45 minutes. If you want seats all the way toward the front, you'll probably double your wait to be toward the head of the line. NPH is popular, however, so your mileage (and wait times) may vary with other narrators.

It depends. Some years they have most of the list when packages come out with a few TBD but other years they hardly have it by then. I believe Gary Senise, Neil Patrick Harris, and Whoopi Goldberg are the most popular.

Hello!!! So we’re in a bit of a pickle here. I waited too long to book the candlelight processional dinner package for one of our Epcot nights, because I was waiting for the announcement of the guest. As it turns out we don’t really know this person so I am hoping to get seating for one of the nights that Gary Senise is presenting instead, and possibly switching up our days or going to Epcot after DHS.
So far I haven’t had any luck. Is this something that we should keep trying for? Meaning do spots open up closer to the date?
This isn’t a must-have and certainly won’t ruin our trip if we don’t get it but it’s a nice-to-have so if there is a chance, I will keep trying.

TIA for any advice!

I think you can keep looking because something may open up, however your chosen narrator is one of the most popular, so that makes it more difficult. It never hurts to try.

I will say that the show is not narrator dependent, and I have enjoyed it very much with one who I was nto familiar with, and to this day cannot remember their names. I do rememebr the shows and how beautifull they were.
