Candlelight Processional Dining Package

We are going to WDW for our first holiday trip to the world. We will be there for just 3 days (after our cruise), and really want to catch the MVMCP and Candlelight Processional. My questions is this... when do they normally start booking dining packages for the CP and when do they start booking for MVMCP?

I know my 180 day meal booking window is coming up in a couple weeks! Can't wait!

Also, I was considering just booking LeCellier if I can get it, and then just converting the ressie to the CP dining package when it comes available. Anyone have any idea if that might work?

You will not be able to convert reservation to CP package. You'll have to call when they start booking cp ressies (June or July) and hope you can get Le Cellier.

I kind of figured as much. This trip is really compact, so my ability to be flexible just isn't there... have to do certain things on certain days to try and catch as much of the holiday stuff while we are there. We have never been to LC and wanted to give it a go, but may just not work out this time.

Even though you can't convert, could we book an ADR for where we want, then book the CP package and cancel the regular ADR? I don't want to get shut out of our restaurant if the CP isn't available.

Yes, you can do that. The only recommendation is make sure you cancel the extra ressie as soon as you get the other one, so someone else can pick that one up
