I am taking a short solo trip 12/8-10 with the main goal of experiencing the holidays and going to the Candlelight Processional. I know that my best bet of getting into CP is to do the dining package, has anyone done this solo? What do you think the best restaurants would be this year for a solo traveler? I am a little nervous waiting to do Regal Eagle Smokehouse since you can't book in advance. I'm thinking of trying Spice Road table since my normal traveling parties aren't usually that adventurous.

I did Garden Grill a couple of years ago (saw Josh Gad narrate CP!). It was a TON of food, but I killed two birds with one stone - character meal and CP dining package.

I can’t say much about the CP itself, but I would go for a restaurant you normally wouldn’t get to try otherwise. Be sure to read the details on what comes with the package at each restaurant though. If they are anything like the Eat to the Beat packages, a few restaurants may have restrictions on what’s included.

I did the CP dining package one year as a solo. At the time, you could eat lunch and attend the earliest CP. I ate at Coral Reef.

I have done the CP dining package as a solo. I did a lunch at Rose & Crown and the 5:00 show, on Christmas Day.

I go solo to WDW a lot. My suggestion is that you pick a restaurant that you really want to dine in, since the only person you have to please is you. It can be a restaurant you love or simply one you have always wanted to try. If Spice Road Table is calling to you, give it a try. I have eaten there solo and enjoyed it. I love the outside tables in the winter when it’s not too hot to enjoy a breeze and the view.

I did the CP as a solo traveler in 2022. I choose Spice Table mostly due to price and I was pleasantly surprised at the food. There were also several other solo diners there at the same time as me

You've likely already booked, but I've done the Candlelight Processional a few times, last year at Spice Road table. They were understaffed that day so service was rough (with my server complaining to her manager that they sat me in her section right in front of me) but the food was very good and I'm sure that was a one-off. Have also done the package at Chefs de France and Le Cellier and enjoyed both - being solo is not an issue. Trying Tutto Italia for the package this year. Hope you enjoy!!

I did the package at Rose and Crown as a solo. It's a nice location and good balance between price and quality. The menu is small, so check it out first and make sure you like it. Biergarten is also a good value, one of the lowest prices for all you can eat.

My husband wasn't feeling well last year, so I ended up going to our dining package reservation at Biergarten alone. It was fine as a solo, as you have the show to entertain you. The food was pretty good and as noted above it's one of the less expensive options. It's also decorated so lovely for Christmas. I had a great time and booked it for our son and his girlfriend this year.

I travel solo all the time and especially like doing Disney solo. When I go to WDW during the holidays, I always book a Candlelight Processional Dining Package so that I don’t have to waste time waiting in the standby line. My go to restaurant at Epcot is Teppan Edo. Yes, you have to sit with other people, but there’s normally one group who’s willing to make conversation. The fact that you’re dining alone will do that. You can be as social or not as you want. Just bring a book to read and you’ll be fine.
