Candlelight Processional "Cheater" Viewing

Thank you for the advice, everyone! Sounds like it is very easy to hear and enjoy the show while standing or sitting in close proximity to the theatre, so that's what we will do

Bumping this to see if anyone who tried this in Dec 2017 will weigh in. I have a 5 year old and 2.5 year old who won't sit still through the entire performance, but I would LOVE to hear some of it at least. NPH is the narrator the night we're there so I'm sure it will be crowded. I don't want to get a dining package and waiting in the stand-by line is out, but in an ideal world I'd get to spend 10 mins hanging around listening & enjoying. I really like the suggestion to sit on the low wall with a funnel cake- that is just our style and would be perfect! Has anyone else done that with success?
