I need some help with my planning here. I know you cannot buy tickets or your package until about July for CP. However I will be able to make my ADR for my December trip at the end of May. I really want to go to Le Cellier during this trip since it is so hard to get in to and I haven't been able to go since 2005. So my question is should I make my ADR in April and then call them back in July or whenever they start selling the dinner packages for CP switch then or just wait until the CP dinner packages go on sell and get my ADR for Le Cellier then. Any advice will be helpful......

Thanks a bunch:)

I would just make the ADR for Le Cellier when you can. This way when Pkgs come out if you can't get Le Cellier, you'll already have ADR for it. If you do get Le Cellier CP Pkg you can just cancel your original ADR for it at that point.

I was worried about same thing thinking I wouldn't be able to get Le Cellier for CP Pkg for Christmas Eve so I got the ADR 180 days prior. When CP Pkgs came out in July I was able to get Le Cellier Pkg for Xmas Eve so I canceled my original ADR at that point.

How are you able to book ADR for dec. in April? Did the 180+10 change?

Instead of April it should be the end of May.:rolleyes1

What time did you call to get that Package for Xmas Eve? Just curious because I figure I will need to call first thing in the morning.

I got mixed up on my dates, I will be doing my ADRs the end of May. My first date on property is November 30th. Is there a place to calculate the 180 day? I am not so sure about my math and would like another opinion.

The package reservations are kept separate from the regular. So you can't make a regular and then "switch" it to a package.

You can caculate the exact date with this...
Looks like June 3, you can start making your ADRs.

Also, I called at exactly 6AM (7am) Florida time for CP pkg. I was on hold for about 10 mins but I got Le Cellier for Christmas Eve and it was AWESOME!

Happy Planning! :)

Thank you so much for all the info..... I really do appreciate it!! :) I am so jealous that you were there during Christmas. I do not think I could convince my DH to go during that time. Again thanks for the info!!!

You're very welcome!:goodvibes

It was nice going during Christmas but if we ever go again to see decorations it'll be when you're going. It was great to be there for Christmas but next time we're going end of November/ early December. I like being home for the holidays.

From what I understand, CP packages are different. Disney allows a number of tables to be reserved for anyone and then they saved a number of tables for people who want the package seperately.

In other words, if I'm correct, there's no point in making the Le Cellier ADR 180 days out because tables for the CP package will still be available on the date CP packages are available since Disney saves tables at each of the CP package restaurants that participate for the event.

Either way, I would still make that Le Cellier ADR 180 days out just in case you can't get a CP package. At least you can still have dinner there and then just walk over and try to get a seat at the CP or at least listen from the walkway.

Of course, I don't know if Disney has changed this policy at all, so ask when you call to make your ADR.

Last year, when I tried making a last minute CP package reservation at Le Cellier after making a regular ADR months before, I was told there were no tables left. I asked how this was possible since I reserved a table for the same amount of people and they could just cancel my ADR and give me that same table with the package, but they told me all CP package tables were sold out and that it wouldn't matter if I cancelled my regular ADR since tables for the CP package are completely seperate.

Thanks a bunch for the advice. I think I will definitely get the ADR for Le Cellier and if I can get the CP package then I will cancel it. This way I know I will get to eat at Le Cellier :cool1:

If you don't get Le Cellier at 180 days, don't freak out. That's what happened to me when planning my December trip this year. I called at 7:00 a.m. at 180 days to book my ADR's and knew what night I thought we'd do the Candlelight Processional. I couldn't get Le Cellier, so I ended up booking the Rose and Crown. Then I called back at 7:00 a.m. on the morning when the Candlelight Processional packages became available and I was able to get Le Cellier. The CM I spoke to said it was probably because they held a block of tables specifically for CP.

Good Luck:thumbsup2

We did exactly what you are doing for Christmas Eve in 2006. I had my ADR for Le Cellier at 180 days out and then booked a CP package for the same night so I cancelled my original ADR.

I'm hoping to work out the same arrangement for Christmas Eve 2008 but I'm going to try for Tutto Italia this time!

Best wishes to you and have fun planning your trip!

Remember, there are also a limited number of seats for the CP itself, so even if a table was opened up, the seats for the CP would not be. That's why they're tabulated separately.
