Are you able to book a meal at Le Cellier for 4 people and then book a Candlelight Processional package for 1 of those people?

The reason is because I would like to see the Candlelight Processional but my two boys will only be 3 and 6, so my DH was planning on taking them on some rides while I watch the show. Is that possible???

I don't think so,but I am just speculating.I "think" everyone has to buy the package, but that is a guess.:)

and I don't believe it has to be all or nothing with the package.

With that said I would find it very suprising if there are any Le Cellier dinner packages left for the CP. If there is you are blessed.

You need to call for the CP package anyway and the CM will work it out if he can do it. If not, you have tried.

thank you both for taking the time to reply!!:lovestruc :lovestruc- although with differing opinions, hopefully someone will come along who has experienced this same situation to give me a definitive answer!!:thumbsup2

Oh, and I am not actually visiting until Christmas 2010 - but like to be ahead of the game in terms of planning!!:rotfl:

Well if you're not going for another year, who knows what will be going on with the CP package then.

no I know!!:lmao: - I was just hoping that if someone had been able to do it this year, then at least there is a 'possibility' I will be able to do the same next year!!:thumbsup2

You can actually book the package for the same price if you are on the DDP. It counts as one credit for this year anyway. If that is the case next year *and* you are on the DDP, book it for all four of you. You can hand the extra tickets to someone else as a happy for the day. Also, there is a standby line. Empty seats will be filled ;)

I will be on the DDP, but I understood the Candlelight package had increased to 2 x TS credits??:confused3:thumbsup2

2 credits?! That is crazy! Is it for all of them or just certain ones?

I love CP and it is a highlight anytime we go during the holidays. But 2TS credits stinks IMO :sad2:

Well, last year was great anyway!

One reason the price has gone up, is because you now get a special viewing area included for "Illuminations", so you don't have to stake out a claim so far in advance! Well worth the extra expense IMHO!! ;)

Well, that depends on where the viewing areas are, and how many people they pack into them. I'll be interested to see the feedback from the first few nights . . . .

I am interested in this as well.Even at one of the lagoon-side "patios",I think it would still be necessary to arrive EARLY to get a prime spot.:)

My guess is at the CP viewing those guests at least will not have to stake out spots hours in advance if they want to be comfy enough to actually find a seating area.
As long as the CP guest arrives at the viewing area pre-show they will get in. Now if they have to be hanging on the fence up front, then they would need to be there early. But at least it should allow CP guests the luxury of not hanging out and guarding a spot hours in advance.
Agree it will be interesting to read the first reports on how this CP VIP viewing area works in reality rather than theory.
We have been in a VIP viewing section a few times. (Not for CP of course.) And it is much more relaxed.
Chances are you will still be standing. But again not front to back, shoulder to shoulder for an hour +, and then having people do their best to squeeze through a 2" space to get in front of you.

I think you kind of have it reversed....when Disney figured out the CP pkg formula this year, they realized they had the free dining promo going on, so needed to make a change to the number of credits needed for the CP. Since it's 'supposed' to be free, they couldn't just raise the number from 1 TS credit to 2, they had to offer something else. So, they 'gave' us that preferred viewing spot. To me, it is far from worth the addtl $25-30 they are getting from me. In essence, it will cost about $60 to get the CP pkg...and I can eat at Coral Reef for a lot less than that without the pkg. But, that's another issue for another thread.

I would suggest to the OP that she book a CP pkg for herself. Then, she can book the same restaurant for her family, including herself, for that same time frame. Rather than have a seating for one (with the CP pkg) at 4:15 at Tuttu (for instance), she could make that one for herself and then book a table for 4 (the whole family) at 4:15 or so. Not sure if that would work, but it might.
