Candlelight / Fantasmic

I just spoke with Disney Dining, and the CM said that it's her understanding that the Candlelight Dining will be handled in a similar way as WOC dining. I'm not sure it is true, but I hope it is. I'd much prefer that to a fixed menu since I have multiple food allergies.

Has anyone else heard that rumor?

We also talked about why Fantasmic isn't on the calendar. She put me on an extended hold to ask someone and came back to say it doesn't appear to be cancelled - that Fantasmic and the Holiday parade should be on the schedule in December shortly.

YAY :cool1:

When I called to make my ressies, that was what the cm speculated with me... She thought that maybe storytellers, steakhouse 55, wct, Carthay, and maybe Cafe Orleans would have dinner packages... She had some reasons why she thought that... But nothing specific or official. We should know soon... I am hoping Thursday!

I too hope they put Fantasmic on the December calendar soon. My only concern is maybe they wont have it the nights of the candlelight processional because they need those cast members to work crowd control at CP instead of fantasmic!

That was my concern as well. This is the first time my mom will be joining us, and I really want her to see Fantasmic! I guess we'll find out in a few days (though I'm not known for my patient nature).

I really can't imagine not having F! for practically all of December! I don't know anything of course... But here is my speculation... We'll see soon if I know Disney as well as I think I do... Christmas parade at 2:30 pm. Cp at 5:30 and 7:30 pm. Fireworks at 8:45 or 9:30 pm depending on the night. If fireworks at 8:45, no fantasmic. If later fireworks, then 9 pm and the late fantasmic too at 10:15.

Oh and of course they might shift cp later on later firework nights too. I am wondering for the dining packages, if it will be if you do lunch for the 1st cp and dinner for the 2nd.

Fantasmic! normally only plays on weekends during this time frame, so if it doesn't go off, it will only be 8 nights it doesn't play. Last year, Fantasmic! did not go off on Candlelight nights.

It has been rumored they haven't figured out the meals yet!

I don't know that anything will be the same as previous years... With cp every night, early mornings and late nights on the calendar, looks to me like Disney is expecting crowds, which is why I wouldn't be surprised to see f! more than just Friday, Saturday, Sunday (although, my current itinerary has us seeing it Friday.) All this speculating is fun, but I hope we'll know more as soon at the calendar flips to November!

That was my original understanding of Fantasmic. We are trying for Sunday night as it would be the most likely to have the show. If they
have it go dark during Candlelight, I'd understand, but I'd be sad. :sad2:

I'm curious to see what they finally come up with for CP. The CM I spoke with sounded pretty frustrated with the lack of planning for the 20 day Candlelight marathon.
