Well that was quite the crap shoot. Got a 3:45 dinner reservation at Rose and Crown for Dec 5. Basically all I could get for Dec 4-9

Got a 5:30 dinner reservation and it says 8:30 show. If we end up keeping this reservation are we sitting around for a 3+ hour dinner and then a show? I've never done one of these before and it seemed like a good idea... but I'm thinking trying to keep 4 young kids sitting for several hours could be a disaster.

You can finish your dinner and then do something else until it's time to get in line for the show. My advice is to get in the line between 7:45 and 8 pm. Those in the package line get in before the standby line. Historically, they start letting standby guests in about 15 minutes prior to show start.

Thanks, looks like I got up early for nothing. LOL
Same. Had hoped the 60+10 day policy wouldn’t apply & all would be released at once.

Does seem to put locals without a resort stay at a disadvantage.

I’m kicking myself for cancelling AKVJ-Std studio to utilize a covid credit I’ve been sitting on for WBC now.

Hoping if i do get shut out for josh gad or NPH, there may be spots that do open up. People do overbook, then cancel.

The option of same day @ regal eagle too I believe

Surely wouldn’t have need to book a package for any of the days last year with eartha kitt.

We’ll be trying for Friday December 9. That’s the first day of my reservation. 60 days before that is Oct 10. I should be trying at 6 AM, if I am understanding.

I have friends arriving on December 10, and they want December 11. The 60+ 10 system is in effect, so they can try October 11th, even though the day they want is 2 nights after mine. Is that correct?

Does anyone know if you can modify the number of people down once you have it booked for the Candlelight package? I don't think you can by calling (since they often say they need to rebook, regardless of what I'm calling about, if they can't do a rebooking that is still available then then won't change the quantity of people), but we arrive several days before our Candlelight event so I was thinking of going to the restaurant in person and asking for it to be modified down. It says there is a 2 day cancellation period so we are safe that way but I could only get a reservation for 5 people and there will only be 3 of us for the Candlelight package (Garden Grill). Has anyone tried this before?

On the Candlelight Dining Package thread in the Disney Restaurant section, people have stated they did call to successfully reduce the number. I could find nothing anywhere for 2 on 12/5, 12/6 or 12/7, but numerous for 3. I took one and will call to reduce the number to 2. Crazy.

I had to book for 3 today for December 9. I’ll call later to try to change. I agree, crazy!

Last minute change of plans because half of our group (that doesn't live in my house) got COVID. Found 3 different times for a CLP DP this weekend and yet the website is giving me errors, same with the app.

Also contradicts itself with a 2 hour and 48 hour cancellation policy.

This is why I am so, so happy 2023 will be Disney free. I am just over the BS needed for anything for the "vacation."
