Candleabration After Dark?

So Candleabration is a new show that has fireworks, and it would seem it would be shown after dark. I am considering a visit the first week of June, and on weekdays the park closes at 7PM (excluding EMH). 7PM in June seems very early for it to be dark. The show schedule for June is not yet available, but I have a hard time seeing how the timing would work. Does anyone have any idea on this?

Sorry - but Candleabration doesn't feature any fireworks, there is a stage show with Mickey and the gang and then Mickey "lights" the candles on the castle. It's to take place at 6.00pm and I believe a later showing of 10.00pm has been mentioned (presumably on weekends and when the park is open later during the peak period).

I got the idea that there were fireworks involved from an article on MiceAge - see www.miceage.com/guest/gu040607c.htm. Maybe the fireworks were only part of the opening day and not planned for each night. In either case my question remains. If this is a "night time" show how can they perform it by 7PM in June? I have never been to Paris in June but would expect it is still light out until at least 8PM.

there are no fireworks... and they do day time performances of this show.. although imo it works better at night.
The pixie dust effect is superb... and better viewed from further back...

its a great addition.. we loved it. Even my 7 year old got a lump in his throat !

the use of fireworks is very restricted at DLRP and as a result they are only used for a very short time each year.

For all of you not living in Europe (Paris) the sun set is in April about 8pm, in May about 9pm and June about 10pm!

So when Wishes is on in July/August the sun has just set when the show starts!

Candellabration does not include fireworks; the fireworks were a special for the press event.
On the official programme, a 6pm showing is printed. However, during the past 4 days, they announced right after the 6 pm showing, and during the whole evening that an additional showing would take place at 9 pm, and by then, it was already dark, and the show is just way better.

This is the question many people have been asking. We were lucky enough
to be there during the press event and saw it at 6.00 the first day and at 8.45pm the second. It is much more of a spectacle in the dark - the fireworks were specifically for the press event.

I never got to see the Candleabration because I was in Walts having a meal at the time, it was torture to hear the announcement and see people taking photos in the street through the window.

I came out at around 10pm hoping to take a photo but they had turned the lights on the castle out and the street lamps too :(

If anyone has photos or video footage then please send me something.

Hiya,

no fireworks for Candleabration I'm afraid, but they seem to be doing quite a lot of late ones - we were there for 5 nights and on 3 they did a 9pm one... so if the parks are open late - or there are late magic hours, it may be worth asking at City Hall - it was not pitch black when they started, but somehow by the end it was - I know Disney likes everything to be perfect, but how can they schedule the sun to set on time!!! Definitely worth seeing in the dark though - the daylight one is ok, but in the dark - WOW it really does seem a magical end to a day...
