Standing here now watching my daughters school in Candlelight with Merideth Viera. They just had a massive sound failure. Someone in the audience started singing and everyone else picked up on it. Meridet clapped when they were done.

This story reminds me of a couple of years ago when the PA system crashed during the National Anthem at our Thanksgiving day road race, still brings tears to my eyes to watch it. I was fortunate enough to have been part of it!

How wonderful! We had a situation at school one year where the class who was singing "The Twelve Days of Christmas" had two of the "days" absent from the program. So our principal made signs and we had audience participation for those days. It turned out wonderfully, and made a memorable event of a situation that would have otherwise disappointed a lot of kids.

I know I didn't. I didn't have my video camera with me that time. I had my regular camera with me.

Nope. This was her first year doing this, and 2nd of 3 shows. My dd and I were talking about it today as we were going over the pictures I took the other night, and she commented on how nice Merideth was. She had a lot of positive things to say to the choirs that night.
