Hello
My understanding is that it always takes place on the first weekend of December , the Saturday and Sunday evenings. The park was fairly crowded on the Saturday, I can't comment on Sunday, we left that morning.
The parks were quite quiet during the week before the Candlelight Processional.
It is a large Christmas concert of sorts. They have a few hundred voice choir process down mainstreet and fill the risers infront of the train station and form a living Christmas tree. They have an orchestra and soloists and a celebrity narrator who reads the story of the first Christmas (from the gospel of Luke).
It's quite wonderful and we loved it. The narrator on the Saturday we were there was Hector Elizondo. He did a great job. I believe the Sunday narrator was supposed to be Andy Garcia?
In 2005, it was Dick Vandyke and in 2004 it was Marie Osmond.
